Great spot for coffee, some assorted cakes and sandwiches. Has a great seating area, couches, chairs, tables, catch up on work or just hang out.Great hot chocolate too.Zero street parking allowed, paid lot around the corner.

On 12/23 I visited this location to try PJ's coffee with the motto of PJ's that they roast their coffee beans in small batches for a unique taste - this was not the experience I encountered. I ordered the Peppermint Bark Iced Latte and a Caramel Crème - Hot. Both taste like water and milk mix with syrup. They were both missing the coffee taste/coffee flavor, and coffee experience that PJ's expresses about their brand. Also, the Peppermint Bark Iced Latte was not served with the peppermint shavings which is false advertisement. As a brand it should portray their motto however it could be the franchisee and quality control issues. I did have a conversation with the worker whom said she worked their for 2 years - which I thought "okay she knows how to prep the drinks" - however that coffee taste was not there - again this is not the barista fault - I highly believe it is the quality control issue. Even "bad" coffee has the coffee taste. This experience of coffee was just water down milk/water and syrup.

Was at an event at the convention center across the street and desperately needed coffee. Enter PJs coffee. I ordered a cookie dough oatmilk latte and it was everything I needed. Sweet but not sickeningly sweet (I don't like syrup to overtake the taste of the beans). The beans I could tell were good quality and not burnt ----looking at you Dunkin ---which helped make a smooth drink. As for the customer service. The server was nice. Nothing over the top. Just pleasant. Pricing was on par with any other coffee shop.

Stop in here for some coffee, pastries and beignets. A little expensive but cheaper then Starbucks. Wonderful young lady who served there with a smile. New Orleans decorations around.

Excellent service and attention to detail. Food and coffee were outstanding. I feel they could do better without the kitschy attempt at NOLA vibe. But you’ll be happy you came guaranteed. Coffee is strong and perfect and bakery products including the beignets are exceptional.

My absolute go-to place for a morning cafe au lait and blueberry scone (ask to get toasted/warmed). The coffee is extremely good here and the seasonal flavors they put out are great as well. They've set up the place so you can also sit and work, (they even have a mobile printer).

A great place to get drinks and light meals when going to NJPAC.Just across the street, to the east on Center Street. We had coffee, iced tea, sandwiches and beignets. It took a while to heat the pre-packaged sandwiches, but they were very good. The Beignets also took time to prepare, but they were fresh and authentic.

Me and my mom stopped here for a quick bite on our ride back to NYC after seeing a show at the NJPAC. When we arrived there was only one person in front of us but within a matter of minutes, the line was long. There was only one staff in the front and she moved pretty quick. However, during events it would be helpful to have more assistance. The staff was very friendly. My mom and I ordered the turkey sandwich with cheese and I had a hot tea to go. The sandwich was fresh and delicious and hit that hunger spot. The tea wasn't as hot as I like but it warmed me up because it was a chilly day. They have a variety of teas, coffees and baked goods. The bathroom was big and clean and there was sufficient space to sit and enjoy a light meal and drink. I would return here if I'm in the area.

Good coffee and in a great location being right across the street from the NJPAC. Haven't tried any of their food or speciality drinks yet but looks good!

This is a lone bright spot for city (Newark) that has seen better days. So while I will not recommend Newark as a marquee travel destination, I will say that if you find yourself in the vicinity then this is the place to hit. The coffees and pastries were excellent. The staff was patient with my large order, and kind. I found everything to be delicious, fresh and get my day off to a great start (and put Newark in my rear view mirror).

This is definitely my go to when I'm feeling homesick. I love supporting local business owners while still having the opportunity to be connected to my home. The coffee is always amazing and the food is always freshly prepared. I do wish parking was a little better but I don't mind the walk some days. (I know theres a parking permit option but i always forget). It's a great place to go get things done. The atmosphere is always nice and inviting.
