I stopped here for the first and last time the other day. On first appearance, it seemed like any other neighborhood spot that you would visit for coffee and a quick breakfast. I was hoping to make it part of my morning commute.

I ordered bread and coffee, and while one of the young ladies was toasting my bread, I noticed the other steaming something with the frother on the espresso machine. Imagine my horror when she turned around and I noticed that she had inserted the frother into her personal paper cup of coffee, through the torn back drinking hole in the plastic lid. She had obviously been drinking from the cup prior and seemed to be reheating he cold coffee. SERIOUSLY?? He colleague chatted with her during this time as if nothing unusual was happening.

I tried to console myself with the knowledge that I had ordered drip coffee, but I needn't have bothered. When the other young lady who was attending me pulled my charred bread from the toaster oven, asking if it was too burnt, I said it was fine. She then charged me for the bread, forgetting the coffee I had ordered, and I decided to take it as a win.

Needless to say, I won't be back. I can tolerate over-toasted bread, but the open lack of hygiene on the part of the one young woman, and the calm observation of the other tell me that this is a normal practice and I honestly don't want to know what else is handled this way.

Was completely ignored first 12 minutes of being there with empty dirty tables. After placing our order, woman never came back and proceeded to give 4 people food that showed up 10 to 15 minutes AFTER we did. Finally another lady brought our food. Was disappointed with it considering the great reviews. The food was ok though and hot!

This is the best place in the ironbound for fast food. The specials are always great. The service is amazing. The restaurant caters to families. As a regular you feel like you are part of a family.

Fresh squeezed orange juice, delicious. French toast so soft, I didn’t even need syrup. Eggs and bacon were decent as well. Not overpriced. Would recommend and would return. Though be aware parking in this area isn’t always the best.

Good hole in the wall for breakfast and coffee! Good prices as well. However, the new change of staff has been bit rocky, they've gotten orders wrong and the coffee hasn't been as good. Either too much milk or too much sugar even after been given specific orders. I asked for a butter roll with jelly and got a burnt butter roll with syrup.

Not gonna lie but the super breakfast delicious but the French toast I had I later found out that it has some type of dairy in it which I can’t have at all ? I always have my coffee black too. I always try to be careful with my dairy, I have they have some alternatives to the toast or just regular toast ☹️. Don’t get me wrong I love it but it’s just the sweet toast destroyed my stomach ?

This was a great stop for breakfast before a train ride south.5 of us had breakfast two of us with fresh squeezed OJ, and the bill was $40.The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. If you saw the front of the restaurant you might pass but the price and food are worth it.
