Took them 30 minutes to make 2 bagels for us... there were 30 people waiting in front of the store, 3 employees, but only ONE actually working on making food...the others were just calling names and trying to look busy
Disgusting bagels. They taste worst than Starbucks airplane food bagels.
Owned and operated by a New York City native who moved to the Bay Area and quickly became homesick for a great bagel. It started incredibly slowly with boiling each hand-rolled bagel one at a time in her tiny SF apartment. With the assistance of friends and coworkers, the rest is history for the owner, Reesa Kashuk, a former home cook with no professional bread experience.
Located inside Terminal C of Newark Liberty Airport, I decided to try Poppy Bagels for breakfast this morning. It was made to order via the kiosks which I ordered the Turkey, Avocado, Egg Wheat Bagel. Luckily a staff member was close by on how to take out the cheese.
The warm bagel was a smaller, classic navel shape and tasted bland. The portion was surprisingly huge. It’s fairly priced for an airport. The service was slow considering there were 2 staff.
If one is in a hurry to catch a flight, this is not the place.
Bagels were gummy and stale.
Slow service, so slow that after 20min of waiting, I had to leave my order to board my flight. Understaffed, poor service.
Extremely slow despite not even being busy. Not worth the wait, especially when you have a flight to catch. Also very expensive
Bagels are not what you would expect. It's more of a toast/hamburger bread with a hole cut in the middle. Go to other shops nearby as they have actual bagels.
Whole wheat everything bagel was edible but had about 1/3 as much schmear as acceptable even though the schmear cost $3.50. Perhaps it was good that there wasn’t that much schmear though because it tasted whack

Generally underwhelming- ordered egg/cheese on an untoasted onion bagel. Somehow the onion on the bagel was burnt even without being toasted, the bagel itself felt a little stale but I've had worse from the grocery store, just annoying to overpay for here thanks to being in an airport.
The QR code menu isn't hard to navigate, but if you're not used to them I can see how it'd be confusing like other reviews say. Service wasn't particularly fast or slow, took ~5min to get my order.
Parking: It's in an airport

Ordering process is a mess. Customers get confused and probably adds to employee stress as well. While I waited, 3 other folks were wondering how to order a take away. You'd think they'd make it easier when ppl are in a time crunch to catch their flight. And the bagel w butter was super dry and coffee was cold.

Had us order at a terminal, then once the order was placed several of the (higher priced) items were out of stock. Dont bother.

We got two everything bagels with egg, cheese and sausage. Adding cream cheese. There was hardly any cream cheese on the sandwich that we paid an additional $2 each for. The sausage was so tiny it didn’t it was only half the sandwich if even that. There should have been two pattys not one. I saw how much cream cheese went on another persons order without the grilled stuff and it was so much more than what we got. Couldn’t even tell we added it on. Extremely disappointing and I feel gipped for spending $32. Don’t go there.
