It's Shake Shake at the airport. All the things you expect, just a lot more expensive. It is always a surprise when it takes a long time to get a meal at the airport. In the interest of transparency, our order was for four people: 2 meals & 2 shakes (with modifications to menuitems). Still it took between 15-20 minutes. Too long for the airport. On a positive note, they got the order correct & the food was great.

So I went to order at 8:28 AM. I ordered one smoke shack burger , fries and a milkshake. The cashier Jackie( the women with glasses and blue hair) asked me if I wanted to whip cream and then I said sure, but did not tell me that there was a $0.59 cents charge me for it. After I finished ordering , she printed out the receipt and asked me rudely to pick up my own receipt instead of handing it to me. I also noticed and observed her being nice to other people who were not the same skin tone as me. Like I am sorry but if you have your own life problems and then you stressed about something get the help you need instead of being disrespectful to people who came to visit here. How are you going to be nice to non brown people and be extremely rude to someone like me? The discrimination and racism continues. Wow so disappointing! People like her need to quit jobs and be at home and do nothing , I can respectfully take her job.

A friend of mine extolled the virtues of Shake Shack back in the day when they were in the park in NYC and had cameras set up so you could see how long the line was. Now there are bunches of them and they're all pretty good; some are just better than others. This one at EWR Terminal A is one of my favorite airport Shacks and I think does a better job than most. The atmosphere is very chill and they serve beer. Grab a window booth and watch the planes arrive at and push back from the gates.
