I went late the day before Thanksgiving so understandably they were out of a few things. I ended up going with a 4 piece fried chicken meal, it was good! Not the best I've ever had but really good and I'd go back. A 4 piece with a side (meal) was $11.95, but a 4 piece was listed as $8 and a side was $3.50, so I was going to order it a la carte because it doesn't make any sense to get the meal. Cashier tried to convince me to get the meal but I called out the pricing. Turns out it was different in the system than it was listed and he didn't honor the advertised price nor did he really acknowledge or apologize for the error. The only thing he said was, "Oh, you're the first person to notice that." Would have been nice if he honored the price or seemed less apathetic about their error. Oh well, I hope it's fixed now.

Went on a Saturday and was pleased to find they were open (most stores were not). Ordered take out meals for the family (I live 45 miles away). The family loved the food! Chicken cooked perfectly. Kale was seasoned nicely. "Sweets" were yummy. We were there early so no desserts (sad face) Had a nice chat with the owner--He seemed like the owner. I wish this restaurant much success!

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendly cashier who suggested I ordered the fried chicken and Mac and cheese and she wasnt wrong it was very good. There was a decent amount of seating and the place as a whole was very clean I would definitely go back

Restaurant is surroounded by buildings and offices yet you cant order lunch at 1115 until 1130 eventhough food is ready or can you order anything else bc they are transitioning for lunch....google search does not reflect this...w time restriction ffor mayy wwhhowr near by this place ia not a good idea

Chicken was good but not hot in temperature. Customer service at register wasnt the best. Cashier should not be working with customers and may want to consider other career options. His tone was not warm and/or welcoming. I will not be returning.

When I'm in town, this is my "go to" lunch spot! The jerked chicken is a flavor mecca, the "eye-roll" mac & cheese is, well... eye-rolling, and the snickerdoodle cookies are coma-inducing! The cookies are slightly crispy on the edges and mouthwateringly soft! This an amazing lunch or dinner spot but they have breakfast too. I have yet to try the breakfast. Enough about the food- life is about relationships and the staff members here are very friendly. It's one more reason to come back to Smitty & Mo's! Thank you Mr. Smitty & Mo!

we stumbled across this place when we got off of the train on our way to the Prudential center. The owner was amazing we all sat down together he was talking with us Tell him us a little bit about the background of the restaurant and the name. created a great atmosphere started a wonderful evening and to top it off the food was absolutely delicious. It was like having a home cooked meal. If you happen to be walking by I definitely recommend stopping in!

This is my second time visiting this establishment and I've waited to write this review. Hands down the BEST meal I've had in a while! Taste just like back home cuisine. I came after work and was famished from not eating lunch. Though it was 10 minutes past their closing time, I was still able to receive a meal along with excellent customer service. So glad they are in my neighborhood...I will be returning!

That's very strange coming from a place in a busy thoroughfare but Smitty did it. He's got a heart of gold and boy can he cook! For 5 brief minutes he changed our experience of waiting 2 hours for our Amtrak train into a memory that we will remember with a huge smile. People like Smitty are what makes these shops from simply delicious food to a quality and memorable moment in ones life.

Although it took a while, I was updated promptly that they were cooking up more j*** chicken for my bowl. I had the strawberry ginger drink while I waited. The mac and cheese as a side in my j*** bowl was bomb. I literally killed the kale and mac then had to take a break because it was so filling. I also tried the chicken and dumpling soup which was one of these soup specials that day. Shout out to the lady who wrapped my soup up tight since I was taking my order to go. While the soup was definitely homemade it could have used a tad more seasoning to kick it up. Lastly, I had their homemade snickerdoodle which was divine. Only thing I would have appreciated was better signage because I would have missed the spot all together if I hadn't asked the security guard.

We arrived early for our return flight to California. Googled for places to eat nearby. Oh my gosh! The service, the food was great! The portions will not leave you hungry. I sat back and observed...The staff and service were personable and accommodating to their customers. Loved the music! Great vibes!

Let me just say, the owner of this restaurant made my day. From the moment I walked in, I was little overwhelmed by the menu, I couldn't decide - everything sounded good. He allowed me to sample each chicken flavor listed, and even then, I couldn't decide. He suggested the soul roll, a southern egg roll. I ordered this and decided on the j*** chicken, Mac and cheese and kale bowl. The kale was perfectly cooked, the Mac was the perfect amount of cheesy, and the j*** chicken was everything I could die for. Oh and the freaking soul roll! I ordered two more to take back to my kids. Customer service is so important to me, and Michael and his team excelled at that profusely. I will happily come again! Don't get discouraged if the line is long, it is truly worth the wait.
