Solid place to eat some delicious Soulfood… my favorite is the oxtail over rice with macaroni and cheese and potato salad. Second favorite would be the grilled salmon(comes with a sauce on top) with yellow rice and macaroni and cheese. My third favorite are the chicken wings(6 pieces of whole wings) perfectly fried with macaroni and cheese and cabbage. Not many businesses like this around. They do not serve pork. I’ve tried the catfish, whiting, and beef short ribs. All delicious.

I'm totally done with this place. We spent $93 for an 2 oxtail and a turkey wing dinner. Food was not good at all! Very disappointed. Oxtails extremely undercooked! Tough and completely flavorless. Collard greens extremely bitter and needed to cook longer. No seasoning at all! I wish I would have saved my money and my gas. Never Again. Too many times, I come lately and the food is trash. Not good anymore! TOTAL WASTE!

The first time I ordered food it's was the amount was well. I ordered turkey wings one time oh my God . They were horrible dry old an taste like somebody put some wax in it. I was really surprise. And they are not . giving you the same amount now.the plates are lighter definitely. Before it's would take me two days to eat the food.not now. An for some reason they aren't on Uber eats. Or the other apps any more

I really don’t no what happened to chest hause they food was soo amazing before . Recently I order again after about a month ago and my wings where dry / over cooked / the Mac and cheese was dry and burn the collard greens where salty is hell I don’t no if they rushing the food out or what but they definitely need to step it up I refuse to order from this place again untill they fix the cooks guys I mean it the food was nasty I spent $48 me and wife just trew it out please fix this problem fast summer rite around the corner

Food is good but advertising is completely off, I went there explaining to the gentleman that I wanted the $10 quick bite meal and was charged $55 for three orders when I called back I was told that the quick bites are $17 but you get less food not really understanding personally think this is false advertisement as I stress the food is good but the lack of honoring a price that’s advertised from Google is a little upsetting, and the owner says he has no control of what’s on Google ?

The location is on a busy street (broad) with no parking but there is a lot on the corner that you can park in. The space is small and you order at the door and they kindly give you recommendations and are very polite. I do recommend ordering the food in advance then picking it up.The quality is amazing. One of the best Mac and cheese dish in the Newark area. The oxtails are clean and flavorful. The chicken wings are juicy in the inside and crispy in the outside. The portions are huge where 2 maybe 3 people can eat. The price is $4-$6 dollars higher than the competition but the quality and serving is worth it.We ordered when we got there and then waited 20 minutes in our car for fresh delicious well presented food. I highly recommend.

I’m disappointed with this establishment so much that I’m writing a review. Tonight I ordered food from here off of Uber Eats & for the 4th time, they did not follow the instructions I added for my meal. Every time I’ve added instructions, I CALL the establishment to verify & explain the instructions just to ensure that they get my order correct. Each & every time they say they will do what was put in the instructions, I receive my food & the order is WRONG. At this point it’s pure incompetence & laziness. I am SO done with this place, they won’t ever see my or any of my family or friend’s money. Good riddens.
