I’m a Rutgers student at 1 Washington (Newark), and often stop by StarBucks at that location for coffee after class. While I like the location, my last few visits were disappointing. The staff was talking so loudly, it felt like they forgot customers were even there, and the music was blasting. It was impossible to concentrate or have a quiet moment. I ended up taking my coffee to go because it was just too frustrating to stay. It’s a shame, because this spot could be a great place to relax or get work done if the atmosphere was more welcoming.

The staff was wonderful and the service was great. However, my only complaint was that the music was too loud. In fact, the factory speakers in the ceiling were playing and then the staff had really loud music from another system playing on top the store system. It just throw off the whole atmosphere.

I started frequenting this location more in the past 3 months. These workers just brighten your day ! Also noticed I never have an issue with the taste of my drink from this location. Job well done.

This is my favorite Starbucks to go to the staff is supper friendly they make you feel at home. When you walk in you are always greeted with a smile. If I could give this location more stars I would. Also I had the Strawberry Açaí with lemonade hands down one of the best drinks

Probably the nicest Starbucks I’ve ever been in the continental U.S.. The staff were extremely friendly even after I was the one who messed up my own order. They still made it right. I can’t remember your names but to the young crew who was there working the afternoon shift on March 29 2024 thank you for your amazing customer service!

Long wait and unfriendly staff. Caramel macciato had way too much caramel, so much I could not drink it. Will not visit again. I suggest you go to the one in Glen Ridge

Leaving this review to hype up my favorite employee, Prince. Just an all around genuine and kind person. Prince remembers the name of every regular that walks through those doors (which says a lot, this is a busy university campus) and greets them as if they are a friend. 10/10 service and if Prince isn’t a store manager already, I hope a promotion is looming.
