I celebrated my PhD last night in this delicious restaurant. happy to tell that we passed a cool evening and the venue was surely one of the reasons for that fruitful event. The team collaborated in a pleasant manner, the food was great and my guests were extremely joyful. We shall definitely come back again for more celebrations. thanks very much.
definitely worth a return visit. it has a nice feel to it. feels similar to a restaurant in new york i liked.
You will not be disappointed in the menu and service. I'll return friends next time.
I give this place double thumbs up. Nothing but pleasant experiences here. It has a great feel to it.
their food has a nice taste and not so expensive!
Nothing bad to say about this place! The food is excellent! My first time here, I ordered the salmon, rice and broccoli with a side of mac n cheese, and it was AMAZING!! You definitely will get your money worth eating here! Will always be a customer for life!
Food was good wait was long
I've visited here once and order the general tso chicken and rice and I can't remember what kind of burger but it had turkey bacon and fried egg on it. AMAZING! Can't wait to come back when I visit Jersey! I tell all my friends about this place. Customer service could be better though.
Good food and good service. The staff is down to earth really cool people. Definitely recommend.
Best chicken I've ever had!

Hidden Gem in Newark. Wonderful chicken/shrimp on waffles. Everything was crisp and seasoned so well. I love the sauce they drizzled on the waffles and that they have a shrimp option. I know everyone is weary of Newark but take a stroll (or order delivery if you wanna stay in). My only thing is that it was a little dusty where we sat on the 2nd floor but the food is so good and different, it is something that can be overlooked.
There are a variety of restaurants downtown in Newark, from trendy sports bars to well-heeled reservation only eateries. But nothing has the pulse of local cuisine than Sugar Daddy's. Located off of busy downtown streets on Halsey, Sugar Daddy's has many soulful favorites. Mine was boneless fried chicken, soaked in Louisiana Hot Sauce and served up with butter and surup laden waffles! OUTSTANDING. Moderately priced, you will not be disappointed with your breakfast or luck menu choices.
The turkey burger is great! Well seasoned and cooked perfectly, filling but not heavy. The owner was also very nice and accommodating
Definitely go here if you want a big meal, for a reasonable price
Food was delicioso! I'd definitely go back.
