Interesting bar downtown newark. The Vibes is awesome. Safe street. Younger crowd after 10pm. It is next to Essex County college. The food is very good. Alot of fried food that's a little salty but definitely tasty. Karaoke on Thursday seems to get the crowd going. I wouldn't go again because of the age range but definitely a place for 21 to 30 yrs old crowd.
Visited this place on Father’s Day and ordered off of their brunch menu (catfish and grits) and it was the best I ever had and I’m not just saying this because I was hungry lol… the mixed drinks were tasty but not strong enough for me…. The music was playing hella throwbacks lol, and I’m heading there again just to try out their hookah … overall comforting experience!
The food is good, service is usually poor, and it usually takes a long time to get your food. My family put me on this spot and I want to give higher ratings but I need the waiter not to be in street clothes making it hard to figure out who is taking orders, answer the phone, stop letting people crowd the register where you take orders, a take orders over the phone especially if ppl willing to pay with debit.
