Suite 53 was pitched to me as a upscale lounge, located near the Prudential Center, and had a mainly "grown and sexy" crowd. Sounded like a place I should check out; oh, how I was wrong. When first arriving, I encountered "security" who was arguing with two women about the validity of their identification. My friend and I weren't carded, however, just asked to pay a door fee and walked in. We also weren't checked for weapons or inappropriate items, like drugs (not that we had any but proper checks could have prevented later events). We then go in and there's only a semi-functioning bar and further in, a hookah bar. This would have been okay if their bar functioned correctly but with only one POS system, three bartenders, and hundreds of patrons, getting drinks took over 30 minutes. Not only was it hard to secure a drink and a long wait but the bartenders weren't moving with any type of urgency, the bar ran out of most basic brands mid-way through the night, and two of the three bartenders were just blatantly rude. On a positive note, the space was big enough that you didn't have to be on top of one another and the DJ played great music (although at times, his transitions were choppy and rushed). Later in the night, the night was interrupted to remind people that "marijuana was not okay to smoke in the building." What?! The night then abruptly ended when patrons were fighting at the entrance and someone was apparently stabbed. Overall, I would never return to this place. It has the potential to be a great place based on location and the actual space but without better staff, security, and a proper bar (and maybe considering turning the "hookah bar" into another functioning bar), I can't imagine ever stepping foot in Suite 53 again, especially with other bars steps away.

Stopped in here before last nights Devils v Rangers game. It's a well lit lofty space with lounge seating. Ordered a couple of beers and a burger, calamari and wings. Beers came fast and cold. Food took forever. When done with the first round of beers, asked about the food. Waitress said she was sorry, the kitchen messed up and comped our second round of beers. Nice. Food finally came. The wings and calamari were too salty. The burger was huge but a little undercooked as it was pink inside and I asked for well done. Two stars due the late and salty food. But it is conveniently located across from the Prudential Center and we made it to our seats just in time for faceoff.
