It's such a cozy spot to sit down and eat. The food is delicious! If you're seeking a good Puerto Rican dish, here's the spot!
Great service...
Service beautiful
They forgot to get back to us to ask about dessert. Never offer water . My fish didn’t look fresh.
I will not be spending my money at Taino's Kitchen in Newark, NJ, again. My stepdad, who is 75 and has cancer, had just finished having surgery. He wanted to try Taino's Kitchen. We arrived at the restaurant to find the parking lot empty. I parked close to the gate to make it easier for my stepdad and myself to walk. However, after odering our appetizers, our waitress asked me to move my car, stating that the owner prefers diagonal parking🙄. This request was unreasonable, especially since there were no signs or markings in the lot. The food was also cold and not good. The Alcapurrias had no flavor, and the chicken empanada was dry. We finished our meal, but I was very disappointed with the service and food. Btw..I had recently had open heart surgery and am still recovering. This establishment had no consideration or empathy for those of us that have disabilities. I will let everyone that told us to check this place out, to not waste their time!! It may have been different if there had been other cars in the lot and I had been blocking someone else or if my car had been stopping traffic. They should of been grateful that they had customers, since the place was completely empty. I will spend my money elsewhere!!
Great food and good people
Establishment looks nice and inviting but it definitely was far from that. Employees did not greet at all. Dark skinned waitress at the register was super rude and looked aggravated. Food was super bland everything from the rice, beans and chicken just straight up bland. Will not be going back.
Restaurantji Recommends
Taino’s Kitchen…. #1 Puerto Rican spot in Newark! Make sure to call them for all your catering needs. They always come through!! Thank you Mayttee! You and your staff are the best!!!
I don’t write any negative reviews even solutions don’t get resolved, I’ve order here many times and this by far was the most nastiest I’ve ever been treated. I made an order my boyfriend picked up our order, we were missing our 2 orders of avocados, 1 order of tostones, and our drinks. We called the establishment a women answered the phone we told her our concerns and before we can finish instead of listening & understanding she was quick to tell us that the uber driver must have taken or forgotten to give us our drinks as well she proceeds to say that the reason we didn’t receive our avocados because they were all out so they replaced them with salads. If there isn’t any avocados why not call? Ask if we would like a substitute of something else or when my boyfriend arrived she could have mentioned something or maybe give us our money back?! Anyways as we continue to try an explain to her that is wasn’t an uber driver she starts to catch an attitude doesn’t let me finish explaining, she hangs up the phone. This is seriously disgusting and very unprofessional on be half of the restaurant. This restaurant will not be getting anymore of my recommendations or money. Someone needs to re-evaluate on who’s answering the phone or who is representing costumer service.
The food is quite good and authentic however needs more seasoning. The service is very good and the atmosphere is pleasant.
Hands down best Spanish food in NJ
Great food yes but don't order online with them I did and never received my food and they did nothing to give me my money back. Then had the nerve to get offended when I asked for my money typical ghetto attitude.
