Had lunch here early Dec. Very nice people and tasty food. Comfortable interior. Clean restroom - always a must and a good sign. Had some empaneda's, ham soup, roasted chicken. Delicious. I would recommend this cozy spot.
Muy bueno .very good restaurante
Food was great ,very well seasoned
We ate lunch before the show at the NJ Performing Arts Center. This place was great. Many dishes we’d never heard of. The homemade juices were excellent and unique. The beef soup was great as were the appetizers . Our server helped us learn about their foods. Would happily return
5* traditional Puerto Rican restaurant. Excellent potato balls and I had the beef soup which was very delicious. The lady was very welcoming and friendly too always a plus when people are friendly in a restaurant. I will be coming back here . I also loved the artistic detailed art displayed on the walls and outside .

I wanted to do something special for my mother, who is a Nuyorican and was turning 90. We ordered enough food for all the staff and residents in her senior building and had a PR party. The food was a HUGE hit. There was no food left, anything they didn't eat, they took away for another day. the service was great. they showed up on time, the order was perfect, the food was hot, the food was delicious. Everyone in the building wants to know where the food came from. Guys you need to drop off menus at Pineridge Senior building - 60 Glenridge Ave. Montclair. They want your food!
Every time I go to NJ I have too go here to get my fix of good authenticate Puerto Rican food. Love everything, the beans and chicken are so tasty.
👌 food so good! authentic Puerto rican food!

Swwwww place is the bomb lol great food felt like I was a home on the island ?????? good music not too big but perfect they have out door dining too feels like ur in San Juan
My husband and I were searching for weeks for a Spanish restaurant as we were desiring the taste of food from our Island .....you know that great home made food cooked by our grandparents, so we were reminded of Taino's and boy was it worth it! They were about to close soon, yet they allowed us to sit, order and eat our meal and didn't even rush us...........my husband and I felt as if we were at our grandma's place. We definitely recommend for anyone to at least try it for themselves...Delicioso !!!!
I went to Taino’s today after searching up Puerto Rican restaurants in the city. Reviews were good so I definitely wanted to try. I ordered Chicharrón, BBQ Chicken and Rotisserie chicken to go. What I got was a chopped up bone in chicken breast passed off as Chicharrón, a 1/2 burnt 1/2 pale piece of chicken passed off as rotisserie and then the same horrible chicken with watery BBQ sauce poured on top. To say that I am HIGHLY disappointed is an understatement. I definitely should have looked at my order before I paid. My family and I had to throw the order out it was so bad. NEVER again. It’s sad too as I see that there was outdoor seating available. With all of the competition in Newark a good experience on my end would have definitely put them in rotation for large sit down parties as I’m a member of a supper club and meeting up, supporting and recommending restaurants is what we do. Their loss. I’m 1000% sure they knew full well that they were selling me trash. Perhaps they figured I didn’t really know exactly what I should be getting. WRONG.
