It was good. It’s fancy fast food. They were quick and kind to us tourists. Just nothing special.

Had a great experience and I'll definitely be back and highly recommend. There were so much and it all looked so amazing I had a hard time choosing what to get.

We decided to get the multi grain bread, macaroons and the pound cake.

The pound cake was one of the best cakes I've ever had!!

I visited this bakery today for the first time to try their Portuguese pastries (Pastéis de Nata). Unfortunately, it was the worst pastry I’ve ever had. The taste was terrible. I couldn’t believe a Portuguese bakery would have such poor-quality Pastéis de Nata. Truly disappointing!

I have been going to Teixeira’s for decades with my family and it never disappoints. genuinely one of the best (if not the best) bakeries in the area. since they’ve expanded there is always seating, even during the busier times.

i love everything here, from the soups to the pastries, the coffee, even the toast is excellent. i strongly recommend to anyone who is curious and hungry

The food is alright tbh not bad for the price but that bathroom is absolutely disgusting i’ve been coming here for a while and CAN TELL they don’t clean it at it’s honestly so disgusting to me how they dont have the urgency of cleaning it, there’s always a foul smell and the toilet literally has poop on the sides.

I got a giant spread because I wanted to try everything (a Cappuccino, a soup with peas/carrots/couscous, chicken and beef croquettes, 1 Pastel de Nata and a sandwich with molete bread and chorizo). The food was ALL good, the place has the coolest atmosphere ever, and the service was good. If I'm ever in Newark again, I'll definitely be coming back.

excellent all around. This is a local spot that cannot go wrong. The food and drinks are delicious and made in-house & affordable. I tried their chicken empanadas and fries. They’re both really great ! If there was one comment - I would ask that they have more hot sauces to dip foods. I’m definitely coming back to try their bakery items.

Terrible experience. The croissant was stale and the cake tasted old and moldy . Definitely not fresh. Never coming back.

If you haven’t tried the egg tarts here, you’re seriously missing out! They’re perfectly flaky, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet — absolutely addictive. Every bite feels like a little trip to pastry heaven.

Yes, I’ll admit, parking around here can be a total headache … but honestly, the baked goods are so worth the hassle. Once you step inside and smell all that fresh bread and pastry magic, you’ll forget all about circling the block for a spot.

Friendly staff, fresh treats, and some of the best Portuguese-style pastries you’ll find in the area. I’ll keep coming back — parking woes and all.

If you're looking for authentic Portuguese egg tarts, this is the real deal. The crust is perfectly flaky with a buttery crunch, and the custard filling is rich and just the right amount of sweet.

They come out warm and fresh and even after it being in the to-go box for a bit, they're still crispy and steaming with flavor.

Definitely worth the trip. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere is nice. They also have other treats but I haven't had the chance to try them yet.

This bakery is my daily go-to spot for breakfast. It’s a treasure trove of everything you could ever need, from cakes to drinks and salads. I absolutely adore the ambiance and the organized staff. The only minor concern I had was the freshness of the food. This could be cultural, as in my home country, we expect everything to be freshly baked and served immediately. Apart from that, everything else is nearly perfect.
