Spicy chicken platter was amazing!!!
This place used to be so good. I don’t know if it’s different staff or what but it’s honestly gross now, the quality of the meat is horrendous at any price and it’s priced higher than any other restaurant of its kind. Service is alright that’s about it, go to a Halal cart instead.

We ordered last night via uber eats and paid 45 dollars for 1 regular and 1 small plater.
We asked for extra protein but it did not feel like we got it.
The driver was with the bike for 30 minutes so our food was cold, thank god we had a microwave in our hotel.
The driver also came not to the right location, he was 1 street further.
It tasted not good, would not recommend. Adel’s was so much better.

I loooove halal guys but honestly I was so disappointed that I was charged 21$ for one falafel gyro and 2 drinks. It was more bread, lettuce and tomato than anything with only 3 little pieces of falafel. It was a massive turn off that the price was so high for the amount of falafel my gyro had. Still, food is delicious but not satisfying at all.

Franchising has ruined what was once a beloved cart food. I’ve been eating this since 2006 in NYC and was genuinely excited when it opened in New Jersey. Unfortunately, product quality has been steadily declining over the past few years, and in the last year it has completely fallen off a cliff—especially at the Union and Newark locations.
The core USP of this food has always been the sauces. Yet prices have continued to rise while sauce portions have consistently shrunk. What began as two 56g packets was reduced to 43g, and now it’s down to a single 1.25 oz sauce cup that isn’t even filled halfway. To make matters worse, customers are charged extra if they ask for more sauce.
This was the final straw for me. I won’t be visiting any franchise locations again. If needed, I’ll go back to the original NYC carts.
There’s no need to ask me to contact or email you—I’ve clearly stated the issue. If you want to retain your customers, please focus on restoring the original product and experience.
One positive note: the serving staff has always been pleasant.
Thank you.

Ordered 4 platters and 4 drinks. 95$. Food wasn't even good. Underwhelming. Ive eaten better platters with fresher ingredients from halal trucks. Save your money, dine elsewhere

Place is open so late!!! Usually here when I want playters late night. Beats going all the way to 42nd like I used too!!! Was always worth it even with toll and gas money years ago. and waiting in line for half hour plus sometimes. The journey made it always worth it.

the falafel platter w/jalapaneos, pita & olives is a solid 👌🏻pitstop on Halsey St. Generous portion-size & the line-cooks are friendly. I was craving exactly this order tonight & my meal did not disappoint 🙏🏻

This is the cleanest halal cart food I've had. It's also the best by a long shot. They are maybe a dollar more rhan what you'd pay for at an actual cart but the quality is significantly better, alongside having more options.
I usually get the Spicy Barbeque Chicken platter with one line of hot sauce and one line of bbq sauce.
The only thing I have to say is that this isn't exactly the type of place to sit and eat. Which I wouldn't say it is trying to be, but regardless, it's a good place to get take out.

Quantity of white and red sauces have reduced due to their new packaging. Also, the taste has gone down. Not sure what changed in the last 1 month. Change of management or chef may be. Not worth it anymore. Better to try the NYC original Halal guys instead.

Not the same totally different from Manhattan I ate all the branch in Manhattan, but they are the worst in Newark. I just throw in the garbage.
