How is this even remotely considered for 3 people at 50 dollars highly unrecommended basically robbery

First time I came with husband the food was delicious, second time we came the food was full of grease and inedible. We threw half of the food out, we excused it since it was the day after the PR parade. We just went today and while the food was better, I feel that they give first time customers their best fresh food and then give you leftovers every time after that. Also, $15 for a conch salad in a small little container?!?! I called three stores and cheapest was $6, the most expensive being $10. Absolutely ridiculous.

Doordash made a mistake on my order, When I spoke with the restaurant, everybody was so nice and helpful and I'm so thankful they personally brought my soup.

They have amazing food. From their alcapurrias mojitos & piña coladas and the list continues. Had the best carrucho salad with tostones ever. It makes me want to come back every week.
The couches need to be updated but overall a great place to eat & relax listening to good music. They have enough space for dancing and with outdoor seating.

Kid-friendliness: Children are allowed during the day.

Disappointing Experience at The Latin Flavor in Newark.

We were really looking forward to trying this place since we had like 2 hours of free time prior to my son baseball game in the afternoon. We wanted some authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, but unfortunately, our experience was a letdown. The service was slow and lost in general, and the food was just mediocre.

We ordered the following food items:
Appetizers: waiting time 25 mins
2 alcapurrias
3 empanadas
It took forever to arrive. The empanadas were greasy and soggy.

Mains: waiting time 35 minutes

Churrasco. The portion was small, especially considering the price.

Chicken fingers. We had to return it.
Not good at all. We still paid for it.

The atmosphere was also uninviting, with loud music and uncomfortable seating. Overall, I was disappointed and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for good Puerto Rican food.

I was about to add more tip until I saw the check. I asked if it was included and the server mentioned no. I’ll glad I saw it.

My girlfriend ordered pernil and this is what she got. No meat at all. It was all fat. How is this possible? Will never order from them or go to them. People, make sure you don't get scammed from this "business"
