I’ve always ordered food for delivery here and the food has always been great. Tonight was my first time dining in. The food, service, and ambiance was amazing. Our server Deedra was very attentive and provided great service. The music playlist was perfect. I will definitely come here again!

Parking is definitely difficult to find. We came on a Sunday further all day brunch and the specials that they had were great, especially the $5 mimosas. The dumplings were very delicious and the oxtail and grits were great. Just wish it had a little bit more gravy. The price point for the amount of that we got is also great and I love that it is black owned and the DJ was keeping the vibes going. My only complaint is the service. There was one server for the whole floor and it took us a while to get drinks so we ended up leaving to go somewhere else and watch the game Even though they do play the game there as well would have loved to have stayed but the drinks were slow and they weren't even cleaning off our tables.

I’ve walked in twice, leaving both times because the noise level (music) is obnoxiously loud. Impossible to have a conversation without yelling. Menu looks good, though. I hope they lower the volume of the music, unless they’re having a party.

Horrible place, the bartenders are more concerned about gossiping then attending to the customers. I came in 1 dat sat at the bar and waited 30 mins before i got served i will never ho there again

No kudos for being a black owned business bcuz it’s poorly managed. To be honest the food is alright it’s not necessarily dishes I would rave about. The hospitality there is lackluster to say the least. The bartenders are more welcoming to their friends than other consumers. I can say that bcuz I’ve been here plenty of times and the bartenders are often chilling with their friends drinking and talking and leaving patrons sitting around waiting for service. Or even standing around just on their phones not being attentive. That’s a clear indicator that it’s wrong people employed there. It’s a nicely decorated place but it’s not worth being ignored when I’m spending my hard earned money. Ms.Deidra is honestly the saving grace there bcuz she’s a warm and welcoming spirit. Something that should be valued across the board. So the service stars are for her. I would score higher but the entire staff needs improvement.

What I liked:
•the decor/ambience & music was on point !
•Food presentation was very nice
•full bar available
What could use improvement:
•upon entering, it felt warm inside to me. (June)
•You have to find street parking and walk over. •Customer service felt lacking, like we had to say hi first, weren’t checked on etc.
•Food was ok, not nasty just nothing to write home about.
It’s located on the corner across from the library on bridge st and broad st. We had lemon drops, pork & shrimp dumplings,
Lobster satay (real lobster-it was a little over cooked), grilled oyster with crabmeat on top, and bread pudding. Everything was OK. Total for these appetizers and drinks was $152
I’d return for the music & try some other food items

This was my first time I’m going to this restaurant despite living in Newark for a few years and I have to say absolutely enjoyed my time here. The service was excellent. The waitress is very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious!! I will definitely be coming back and bringing my friends and family.

Special thanks to Theresa and the team for hosting my birthday during the Sunday brunch. It was excellent from start to finish. I recommend this brunch and location to anyone looking for an amazing time!
Met a couple girlfriends for drinks and dinner at 8:30 on a Friday night. There were not a lot of folks there so you'd think the service would be better. The hostess was snarky and their waitstaff needs training. The food was actually pretty good but they've got to fixed their service problem. No one wants to go to a place, no matter how good the food is, to get attitude.
