Dishes are not consistent. My meatloaf was burned so badly they put a lot of BBQ sauce on it to cover it up. This was done despite the fact that I requested no sauce. Next time I requested one blackened whiting dish and was given fried whiting.

The shrimp and grits was not at all what I expected. The grits were cold and you can tell that they just put the shrimp and sauce on top to make it seem like they were hot because the shrimp and sauce was hot.

Place is okay. I’ve come a few times in the past. I live close by and rarely do I think of this place, even though I’ve been plenty of times. I had the peach cobbler waffle which was A1. Grits and scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs were okay. A little hard fried almost. This spot is a little expensive. But if you’re in the area looking for soul food. I’d recommend trying it atleast. It’s just not a place I frequent often. But it is local and I do support.
