Great chicken and waffles! Make sure you are hungry when you go. Portions are big!

March 2019-This place was voted best chicken and waffles. I was planning on moving to Sussex county and decided hey, why not try it out? My mom, sister and I decided to stop in there after the St Patrick’s Day parade in Newton. We walked in there and got seated right away. As we were handed the menus, we informed the hostess we would be ordering for takeout and she said not a problem. She proceeded to take our order. About 10 minutes go by and a party of 3 walks in mind you that there are like 4 other tables open, the hostess asks us to get up from the table and let’s us know that we can wait by the entrance and sit on the couch if we want to and gives our table to the party of 3. We got up and waited and another 10 minutes go by and our order isn’t ready. By this time the party of 3 had got up and walked away. Then another 20 minutes go by and we see a couple of people pick up orders and order on the spot and pick up their orders. So at this point about an hour goes by and we still don’t have our order so I’m sitting here wondering where is my order? I approach the girl that took our order and she said it was taking a little longer and wasn’t sure why but to be more patient. I was really confused at this point because it was way over an hour for 3 orders of chicken and waffles. Finally, I’m guessing she’s the cook/chef in the back comes out and asks me what I’m still doing there and inform her that I’m still waiting for me order and she starts yelling at the hostess behind the counter that my order had been ready about 40 minutes ago and that she effin told her it was our order blah blah blah. I end up paying for my order. It came out to around 40 something dollars. My sister and mom were starving at this point because it’s past lunchtime so they decided to eat on the car ride back home (45 min). They told me that the chicken was tasteless. It was covered in some slimy sugary sauce and waffles were soggy because the order had been sitting there for 40 plus minutes. I threw my food out by the time I got home. A waste of money and nasty food should not be awarded best in Sussex county.

I was so excited, I saw that this was New Jersey's BEST Chicken & Waffles, 1 choice in the whole state and this place got picked.... I drove after work 2 hours to bring my daughter (who is a teenagers so if I get anytime with her I am taken it). We were super excited and got there at 7:39, we walked in and were told that they close at 8 pm so we couldn't sit and eat... Okay, I understood, so I said can I order TO GO, the hostess walked into the Kitchen came back and said NO, sorry we close at 8 (mind you is 20 minutes away) and everything is clean.. I was so upset, I said we just drove 2 hours to get here, we can't get anything and she said unfortunately NO. I think this is horrible, the day you are VOTED NEW JERSEYS BEST CHICKEN & WAFFLES and 20 minutes prior to closing you can not get food. They should say that, although we close at 8 all orders MUST be in by 7:30, because if I knew that I would have called and ordered in advance. VERY DISAPPOINTED..

Food was delicious and the atmosphere was very laid back. Best chicken and waffles ever had! Definitely a hidden gem!

Had OG chicken and waffles and dang they were ?. The staff is really friendly and attentive. The place is very inviting and has great vibes. Overall the experience was perfect, definitely coming back again soon ???

WOW!! Absolutely charming decore and staff! Food is hearty and homey; so delicious!! We're from out of town, and man we wish this cafe was closer to home. Came to town for the shops and left with full bellies from the amazing food. Can't wait to come back some time!

Everything was perfect here, from the ambiance to the amazing eats! My son and I will definitely be back to try out the breakfast menu! ???

We recently went here for takeout and they knocked it our of the park. The Nashville chicken and waffles was delicious and had a nice kick, and the beignets were of so doughy. Not only did it make for a great dinner — we also heated up the leftovers in the toaster oven the next morning for breakfast. Simple scrumptious!!!!

The food was very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was efficient and accurate and with a smile. I recommend this very strongly.

Got chicken and waffles it was banging. Parking can be iffy and I prefer Pepsi. Good quick service
