AMAZING soups! Always fresh and some really wonderful flavors. The sandwiches are delicious as well. The staff is welcoming and friendly. My only regret is not trying this place sooner!

Catered the surprise 70th Birthday Party I had for my husband from The Copper Kettle July 27th 2025. Food was amazing. The help with choosing the menu was great & was able to have a variety of different foods. My guests were floored by the spread that was put in front of them, from the salads, the sandwich tray, to the shrimp cocktail and the hot dishes. Let's not forget the desserts! Couldn't be more pleased and would recommend the Copper Kettle to any & everyone. Thank you for making my party a success.

It all started with a trial soup/sandwich at the shop in Newton. WOW! Amazing taste and quality, which really surprised us in the best way possible, and led to our catered event. Marisa helped with getting my bases covered for the gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian people, who made the menu a challenge. The ratatouille pasta was lovely, as was the chana masala curry with jasmine rice. The chicken cutlets, which we decided to keep free of sauce for the kids, were tremendous. Marisa gave us 4 sauces on the side to choose from but our family just ate them plain and were fighting for the leftovers! The fruit salad was nice if a bit wet, and I would not do a cookie platter again as, for us, they were all much too sweet. Sometimes these things are just a matter of personal taste. We would highly recommend John and Marisa as very knowledgeable, reliable and efficient and will definitely use The Copper Kettle again. In the meantime, we cannot say enough about their restaurant’s soups and sandwiches which truly have to be tried to be believed. That’s where their magic is.

Went here for the first time and the food was great. However, I ordered 4 soups for takeout and they used flimsy lids and sat the 2 soups on top of the others. During my ride home, the soups fell through the flimsy lids leading to the broth overflowing into the brown paper bag they gave, which then fell apart, ultimately leaving my entire backseats floors soaked in broth. So I was left with 2 out of the 4 soups without broth, one of which was for my 93 year old grandma. I could not understand why they would use these flimsy lids with hot foods, surely someone could burn their hands. Please get better lids or just offer multiple bags, so there is no stacking of cups needed.

We had them cater an event at our school for the second time. Food and service was outstanding! Can’t wait to have them back again!

I went here earlier in the week with my friend and the service was terrible! The soup was listed as vegetarian, but it smelled and tasted like chicken broth. My friend's sandwich had moldy bread and slimy chicken. The servers were extremely rude to us both. I can't recommend this place to anyone.

I was eager to try out a new spot on Spring Street, but my experience left me quite disappointed. The turkey sandwich I ordered seemed sparse on turkey, and was overloaded with mayo. Surprisingly, I wasn’t given a plate, which was unexpected. Adding to the discomfort, the dining room lacked adequate ventilation on one of the hottest days of summer.
The choice to play Christian music might not bother everyone, including myself as a Christian, but it did strike me as somewhat out of place for a general audience.
Service was decent, though I would have appreciated more attention. If they aim for a deli vibe, they might reconsider the overall atmosphere they’re creating.
Overall, I've given them two stars because I see potential. It’s encouraging to see new places opening on Spring Street. I don’t often leave reviews, but I hope this feedback helps them improve.
