This is a mini noches de colombia. More like a bakery. It has a variety of breads, empanadas, sweets and some food. They have my favorite: freshly squeezed Orange juice. There was only one employee. She was working hard (Deserves a raise). It got real busy at a certain point. People mainly came to take out. The TV had only reggaetton music while I was there. I would recommend a variety of music specially when the majority of people that I saw coming in were not young ones. But...
With every bite of the plate of manicotti my taste buds made love to my stomach and my brain was satisfied. Photos of the dish and meal entirely will follow-up give better representation.
I had not been back to the Russian Tea Room since it closed a few years ago for renovations. The dining room is now spacious. Menu has very high end caviars if you're into that kind of thing, but is now more generic with less of traditional Russian foods. The borscht was fabulous and the stroganoff was superb. My wife had halibut which was OK. Entrees acceptably priced for Manhattan. Service was very good.
