Casa Mexicana Restaurante is a clean cafe serving very traditional, authentic Mexican food that is like eating in Mexico. The food is really delicious, fresh, well-prepared, high quality, and non-greasy. Many choices, not seen before, are presented simply as if eating with family. Everything tastes fresh and homemade, from the hand made tortillas and beans to the grilled proteins and friend shrimp.
Portions are big and generous for the price, which is fair and reasonable. Specific dishes praised include the breakfast, chorizo, chicken tacos, beef soup, pulled chicken, chicken chimichanga, and chicken and cheese empanadas. The chimichanga is deep fried, golden brown, crispy and chock full of shredded seasoned chicken. The empanadas are the best ever, with chicken tossed in seasoning. The guacamole is freshly made and delicious, served with a large bag of chips. Sides and sauces like the spicy chipotle sauce, green tomatillo sauce, red in house made hot sauce, and Horchata are also highlighted.
The staff is attentive, kind, and eager to answer questions, trying to accommodate modifications. Overall, it is a very good experience and a new favorite, with customers definitely coming back.
