If you’re looking for a relaxed lakeside spot with good food, solid drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, Lory’s Lakeside delivers Nestled on Farrington Lake, Lory’s blends scenic views with neighborhood charm, making it a go-to for dinner, drinks, or weekend outings.

From the moment you arrive, the setting enchants — water all around, string lights, casual seating, and that comfortable “higher-end dive bar” feel Lory’s describes on its own website. The staff is friendly and attentive, often praised in customer reviews for going above and beyond.

The menu offers a hearty mix of American classics and comfort food favorites. Think ribs, pierogies, stuffed cabbage, fried shrimp, burgers, sandwiches, and seasonal specials. Many diners mention the ribs as a highlight. Portions are generous and ingredients feel fresh.

There are a few caveats worth noting:
• On busy nights, wait times can stretch, especially for larger groups.
• Some customers report inconsistent service, occasional missing sides, or bar focus overshadowing table service.
• A few reviews mention that certain dishes (like beef stroganoff) missed the mark.

Overall, Lory’s Lakeside is a solid choice when you want a fun, laid-back evening by the water with good food, strong drinks, and local energy. For the best experience, aim for an off-peak time or reserve ahead — you won’t regret soaking in the lakeside ambience.

The food is very bland and not worth the money. The waitress/bartender was horrible. No personality and didn't smile once. Just a miserable lady. Actually felt sorry for her.

A cu of us went to Lorys Lakeside for dinner. Everything was fine. They have a beautiful view of the Lake outside. They have two Pool Tables there and quite a few people come in there to play Pool. I'm sure we will be going back there again.

Terrible timing no wait staff the bartender held her own but the owner was next to useless I didn't even give them a chance to ruin my birthday dinner

The owner (Venkat) truly has a heart of gold. Treats all his customers not as patrons but as family. Me and my girlfriend were just looking for a spot to play pool but we ended up finding a community of friends that were all happy to teach us the game. All the staff is friendly and the service is fast. Great place to watch a game, enjoy the outdoors, or lose to Ven in billiards LOL. Highly recommend

Great little place for lunch or an early dinner. It's right on the edge of Farrington Lake, which is a beautiful location for fishing, kayaking, etc. Don't get your hopes up too high though, it's just a small lunch/dinner spot. Nothing fancy.
