I usually never leave reviews but I had to make an exception to highlight this very special restaurant. I went with my mother and father after a long day of cleaning, and we found this spot on a whim. It was small spot, but the atmosphere was very warm, welcoming and very family oriented. At first, we were a little disappointed that there wasn’t a lot of items available on the menu but after learning that the chef was an elder we completely understood, and knew without a doubt...
I came here a couple weeks ago on a whim after enjoying my day at the beach. I was craving empanadas and saw this place sold it. I ended up purchasing two more after falling in love with the first two. You can really tell that this place makes their food with love! Best empanadas I’ve ever had coming from a Latina

The food was well flavored but not spicy. We shared the rice, lentils and stew chicken, the mofungo with pork chunks, a beef alcapuria, and a sorullo. It was all delicious.
The dine in area had a variety of art pieces that echoed the Caribbean atmosphere. Being family operated gave it a homey feel.
