I hate leaving reviews like this. I really do.

We were seated, and the staff member gave us water glasses. They noticed there was a smudge on the lip of the glass and then decided to wipe it off with her hand. Not her shirt. Her hand.

We walked out. I’m sorry. I’ve never done that before.

Fiancée and I ordered the Rice Balls which were amazing, and our meals were the filet mignon, medium rare and the Short Ribs Pappardelle. We waited well over an hour for our food without being checked on once by wait staff. The pappardelle had 5 tiny pieces of short rib. Absolutely not worth the price paid for this meal. The only saving grace were the rice balls.

We went to Bella Luce for the first time today. The shrimp that we got had tails in them while fried with marinara on it. You couldn’t tell so we almost swallowed the shells. We asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare and when we got it, it was well done and cold. The server took around 15 min to even notice that we hadn’t eaten at all. Very disappointed. We won’t be returning. The meatballs were pretty good though.

Perfect environment, great to just grab a drink at the bar or enjoy a quiet meal with a special someone. A true neighborhood gem with delicious food!

Great vibe and delicious food reasonably priced! (That was my old review.)

On a recent visit, 9.8.24, I was very disappointed in the food. I ordered my steak Medium and it arrived bordering Medium Well. I sent it back and the server came back with my plate asking me to look at it and telling me there were slices that were pink. I struggled to see a pink hue and some were slightly pink but barely. The end slices were well done, the next ones over Medium Well at best. It appears that the cook sent her back to show me this with this message. I rarely send food back but this was a first where it was brought back to me telling me I was wrong.

I asked her to take it back again and asked for a Medium cooked steak. This is what I got back! The middle slices appear to be Rare or Medium Rare. The very ends were Medium so I ate those and asked for a container so I could finish cooking my meal at home.

There was only one table of about 10 people in the entire restaurant when I was there so it wasn't like they were too busy to get it right. The potatos and brocoli rabbe were good though and the wait staff were very nice and attentive.

The ambiance not as warm as before. It was repaired a shade of white and the lights were up so it looked stark in comparison and less inviting.

Have been coming here since you were in Caldwell. Have not been to Nutley for a couple of years. Here on a Sunday...not busy...and everything was just a miss! Maybe Sunday is not a good time to come

From a 5 star years ago to a zero now. As soon as we entered the restaurant a very nasty, musky smell hit us. That was STRIKE ONE. STRIKE TWO was the waitress asking us if we preferred tap water or bottled. STRIKE THREE place was empty. We got up and left, but not before telling them why

We came to visit friends in NJ. There were 7 of us. This restaurant was recommended by a friend. All of us loved it. When we got there we discovered there was music playing. It was fun music but very loud. They were so nice and moved us in the back so we could talk to each other. The food was fantastic. Great portions. Everyone really enjoyed the evening. Service couldn't have been better

The espresso martini was good and the pasta was decent. Not a fan of the calamari.

Excellent food, the night we dinned there was a jazz band, so the noise level was high. Food was a bit slow coming out of the kitchen, but I'm sure every night is different. Overall, a good experience.
