If you’re a business, keep your political views to yourself. The signage outside your establishment makes some feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I will not be returning.

This is my favorite brunch place now! I absolutely love their coffee choices, their breakfast options, and just the overall friendliness of the staff.

Chestnut Café in downtown Nutley is such a gem!
I started off with a snickerdoodle coffee. For lunch, I had the spring chicken wrap with a side of fries and honestly, I loved every bite. The wrap was fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying, and the fries were the perfect crispy sidekick. Between the warm vibe of the café, sweetest staff, and the delicious food, this spot definitely won me over. Can't wait to come back!

I went there this morning with a friend and it's was new to both of us. Had an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was amazing and the food even better. They have a lovely indoor and outdoor seating selection. We ate inside and the place was very cute and cozy. Perfect especially for a Saturday morning. Would absolutely come back and tells friends and family about this place! Thank you to all of the employees and especially our waiter Tim!

DISCOVERED MY POWERS OF INVISIBILITY!! stood in front of the employees for several minutes without acknowledgment. Would normally leave 1 star for lack of service, but they were very friendly to the customers there that they could apparently see.

Im always looking for new cute local spots to enjoy a good American breakfast. Brought 3 of my friends here to try something new as we discussed some business.

Saturday morning all of us were suffering from all of the wonderful symptoms of a food borne illness. Id rather not list them but lets just say we have not eaten or drank for days. I even had to seek out the Urgent Care for anti nausea meds.

The only thing we had in common was the eggs and bacon at this cafe— we all went our separate ways after and were supposed to meet for a hike the next day. It was a shame none of us made it to our plans the next day.

I called to discuss the matter and I was met with “managers are in Florida and we’re not sure when they’ll be back” and “well no one else has called to report anything”. Honestly I only called cuz its been 5 days and I still cant eat, because I wouldn't usually call either.

Initially my thoughts were what a cute place, cute menu, great lattes. Cant wait to return.. all the great things.. But now I would ask u to enter at ur own risk.
