First I would like to say that Cuban Pete's is not what cuban cuisine is. I have went to 3 cuban restaurants so far and this one surely kicks Cuban Pete's 10 times. Our food was freshly made you can really tell. How they season their food is out of this world. I truly recommend this place and it's way cheaper than Cuban Pete's! I ordered the chicharones,deep friend chicken bites in lime and garlic, chuleta with rice&beans and fried maduros, and a skirt steak with a papa rellena and spanich in garlic. The food was so good i sucked the bone of the chuleta. My wisfe skirt steak was tender and juicy with alot of flavor. We will definitely be going back to try something else on the menu.

Showed up at 6:00pm and received our food at 7:30pm. We asked for drinks/ refills multiple times and it took them 20 minutes to give them to us. THERE WAS NO ONE in this restaurant. Wish I could’ve given this 0 stars but that wasn’t possible. Test your luck before you come here!! I ordered sprite one of the easiest sodas to get and it took them 20 which is unreasonable timing. There was no flavor in the Plátanos! There was also not salt to put on them too!!!! The beans were to salty, there was not enough rice, and the grilled chicken had an enormous amount of charcoal! And by the time my drink was here it was all watery and it was not good. My mother was the last one to get her food and it was lime 20 minutes after everyone else got there food and same for my brothers girlfriend. Are waiter didn’t even apologize for the wait. It was unbelievable!!!!!! The chicken was very dry too! I would not Suggest going here!

The food was very good, but the service was horrible. I had to wait 20 minutes before a waitress took my drink order (after having to flag down the bus person to call the waitress to take the order) and the place wasn't even that busy. The wait staff just seemed lazy and didn't want to be bothered.

We went here twice and I wasn’t impressed either time. Nothing special. I also heard it’s closing. I’m wondering why it took so Long. It’s Nutley.,it’s gotta be Italian.

Went for early dinner on a Saturday, no wait for a party of 5, the waitress never told us that they were out of the roast pork, so after deciding on what to order for 10 min, we all had to look at the menu again and order something else. Duh!! If your out of something tell everyone b4 they look at the menu!! Food was good and portion size was as well. Prices are a lil high, but atmosphere and the portions balance that out. Overall a good dining experience.

The brunch options were not really Cuban themed. The appetizers were salad, soup or chopped fruit. I don't think the appetizers & entree paired well. The pancakes didn't come with any other item and the syrup was cold. I was disappointed. I went with a group of friends we felt underwhelmed. If I go back I would check out the regular menu instead..

I tried to call to make a reservation for Sunday Brunch. VM told me to call a different number. Did that. Got VM again. Nothing like trying to make a reservation and not being able to.
I had brunch on a Sunday with family and friends. They provide a limited brunch menu with fixed price that includes appetizer, entree and bottomless drinks, plus sides for additional price. I had the cuban soup and huevos garcia. I really liked both because they were well seasoned without being spicy. Everyone seemed to like their dishes. I didn't give five stars because the service was a bit slow, but overall it was good enough to deserve a second visit for lunch or dinner.

Food was out of this world tasteful!!! So good. Service was ok. I thought they had salsa night but I guess not. I also told the waitress to sing for my friend birthday or bring her a piece of cake out and they didn't. That's why no 5 star

I have been in this place for the last 2 years, great service great food. this year AWFUL service my god!!!! Got seated and no one came not even to put water. then 20 min later I had to go ask for a manager to see what was going on, meanwhile the waiters around us did not want to make eye contact with us and they are serving around us and not even acknowledging us. No idea what's going on there but if my kind is not welcome there, DONT WORRY WE NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN.
