I have ordered from Lou's for the past 5yrs. The pizza and food use to be the best around. This past year the food has certainly gone downhill. Crust is bland without flavor, it arrives cold every time looks and tastes like it has been lying around. The wings are inconsistent sometimes hot in heat other times more mild you never know what you will get. I have ordered several times since the first bad experience hoping it was a one off however regretfully that is not the case the poor quality remains consistent. There are other local Nutley places who are consistent and offer quality food. Sad to say done with Lou's

This place is awful. A few weeks ago when I was accepting 2 delivery orders from doordash they only had 1 order ready while they made me wait 30 minutes for the other order as soon as I entered the restaurant. When I told the girl on the counter about how many minutes it was going to be ready she told me it was going to be ready in a few minutes but that was not true where it turned out to be 25 minutes. Not only was it disrespectful to me but it was also disrespectful to the other customers where their food was cold since I had to wait 30 minutes for the other order.

We ordered a pizza online half with cheese half without. The pizza took over an hour to arrive and when it did it was cold and had cheese all over it. We called to ask for a refund and the woman on the phone said “I remember taking your order and I repeated it back to you and you said nothing about cheese” When we said we ordered online she didn’t apologize or admit to lying, she just asked us for the address. The manager then told us no refund was allowed because we ordered online (even though we ordered on THEIR website not a third party site) and that we could get another pie in 20 minutes. It took 45 minutes and also was cold.

I live close to Loue’s and get their takeout pretty often. Not a fan of their pizza. My rating reflects their other food. Good shrimp parm sub (although they skimp on the shrimp), chicken francese, fries, chicken tenders. Don’t order the lasagne. Staff are nice and service is good.

What a horrible experience. I ordered one chicken parm sandwich and it took almost 2 hours every time I called the girl kept saying 10 minutes. When the sandwich finally got to my house it was cold. Nutley has a lot of pizza places i highly suggest you go to another one and stay far away from Lou’s pizzeria.

I only say atmosphere 3 because it's sad what covid did to the food industry! The restaurant was empty on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. But again food I picked up was excellent as well as the slice I ate while waiting.

Picked up some food last night for dinner:
Food: standard (wings looked dehydrated, bacon pie was good as per kids and Hawaiian pie with extra ham was missing some ham and had no pineapples)
Which brings me to to the main issue:
I don’t usually call to complain but when I saw the receipt the Hawaiian was 8 dollars more than the other pie - I called and let the employee know that the Hawaiian pie should have had extra ham and pineapple but only had normal amount of ham (attached photo.)
The employee did apologize and added the cook must’ve got confused. Then asked “what can we do about it?” At this point I responded I have no idea since restaurants usually have their own refund or “fix the problem” solutions. Seconds after the call drops - so in all it is what is it I guess.
