It's a nice family friendly restaurant. Good food, good drinks and friendly service. Host is very attentive and the rest of the staff make you feel right at home. Their French onion soup is delicious and also their short ribs. If you are in the area I really recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed. A bit pricey but it's worth it.

One of the challenges with eating out post-pandemic is finding both quality and service. Meal in Nutley surpasses this expectation! Don’t sleep on it. From the moment we entered the service was very attentive. The vibe was relaxing; the space felt open yet you had privacy. Everything we ate was fresh and DELICIOUS! We went on a whim and were happy we did. Highly recommend Meal.

Went for Sunday brunch. Everything was delicious. Almost everyone finished everything, all means were great. I loved the avocado toast with a poached egg. Friends had juevos rancheros, chicken parm, biscuits and gravy. All the drinks were very good as well.Made a reservation for 9 a few days ahead of time. There was a baby shower so we sat in the back room with a long folding table and folding chairs. It was a little uncomfortable and I got cold toward the end but didn’t mention it so my fault. It was still very enjoyable and we will be going back!!

Went for Sunday brunch. Everything was delicious. Almost everyone finished everything, all means were great. I loved the avocado toast with a poached egg. Friends had juevos rancheros, chicken parm, biscuits and gravy. All the drinks were very good as well.Made a reservation for 9 a few days ahead of time. There was a baby shower so we sat in the back room with a long folding table and folding chairs. It was a little uncomfortable and I got cold toward the end but didn’t mention it so my fault. Everything we had was awesome. The cocktails were very creative, the Aperol negroni was the best I ever had. And the after dinner espresso martini was spot on. The server gave me the choice of dark which I prefer. Our aps were great. We had the MEAL chips which we cleaned up every crumb, and the tuna nachos, r u kidding! Off the hook! Our entrees were really good. My wife had the lobster cabonera, and I had the southern fried chicken sandwich. Again , delicious! My favorite was the strawberry shortcake dessert. This was so good and a perfect way to end the experience, just amazing. We cant wait to go back. Give MEAL a try they wont disappoint.

I was ready to suggest this place for the next date night or dinner with friends because it sounds interesting. Then I checked the reviews and then saw the one response from the owner, saying "As a woman of God..." multiple times (not sure why) and saying that maybe the reviewer is a "not a good example of a black Hispanic woman." She did not have to go there. The response was all over the place and who is Dee Milly??? Made me rethink going here...

The food was very good. I'm not crazy about Mac & cheese but I def loved theirs.They had a live band and our waiter Zack was on point. Very friendly and helpfulKid-friendliness: They don't have high chairs but they have a kids menu.

Very rude, uncomfortable, homophobic & racist environment !!!The whole time, my friends and I were being stared at, and clearly the owner and bartender were talking about us across the room. and eventually kicked us out because my friend had a water bottle. what a wild reaction.The reaction was very obviously not about the water bottle itself, but rather that they felt that we were not the type of people they had felt should be hanging out at their establishment.Even aside from the rude staff/ bartender,the place is tacky and uninviting.…… it’s giving live laugh love ,home goods vibe.lol not worth it .

I wish I could give this place zero stars. A group of friends and I excitedly visited MEAL for the first time to play trivia and safe to say, we will never be back. The hostess/manager could not have been more rude to a member of our party after we all had already paid for drinks. I truly hope that no other guests have a similar experience. We would rather starve than go to MEAL again.

The worst experience. I never felt like trash’. The way the white lady talked to me and questioned me in front of those people because I didn’t like the avocado toast. The way she judged me when I walked in, when it’s my bday; why would I have an attitude, I was mingling with the bartender while drinking wine. The customer service and the hospitality Was very disappointing and unsatisfying. I would never go to this place again. The menu was $45 for one small cinnamon roll bun For an appetizer, Who eats sweets sweet as an Appetizer ! Then the Disgusting avocado toast and unlimited mimosa! We have to be better! We have to love each other more… The Manager needs to retired! At the end; she chases us off and that’s when I said things I didn’t have to say but I did! The manager messed it up for the waiter. I didn’t leave her any tip, And I’ll be tipping cause the manager messed it up for her! Hispanic people are not allowed here Because we will get mistreated and judge. Cause we were the only different type of people there! Nutley is known for that! I’m proud to be black Hispanic and you can never take that away from us! Trash!
