I have walked by this place many times walking my dog. Today those stars lined up was hungry and finally ordered. The chicken cutlet has to be one of the best I've had around in a long time! Will definitely be coming here frequently can't wait to tell my wife.

I’ve eaten at Mike’s at least once a week since I found it a couple months ago. The food is outstanding and the staff is both nice and funny. The sandwiches seemed pricey at first, but they are massive; you definitely get what you pay for. I will get one and eat on it for a whole day. The ingredients are high quality and I love the selection. Definitely follow them on Instagram to get a sneak peek at the specials. Thanks Mike and crew!

First time trying this Deli and we ordered the “Mikes Chicken Cutlet Sandwich.” By far the best chicken cutlet sandwich I’ve ever had. You can tell from the first bite that they use really quality ingredients and it’s well worth the money. Can’t wait to try the other menu items, this will definitely become our go-to deli in Nutley.

This place is magical! Everything is complete deliciousness. Get your lunch there but then also buy pasta, sauce (the kale pesto is incredible), olives, cheeses and meats for making dinner at home. Also, everyone in the shop is super friendly. I loved seeing how harmoniously everyone worked together. Excellence in every way. I will travel from Brooklyn for this place.

DELICIOUS sandwiches. The bread is so fresh and tasty and they add so many touches to add flavor. I got the fried eggplant sandwich with tomato jam mozzarella and balsamic glaze. I LOVED it. My husband got the grilled chicken sandwich it was huge and he also loved it.

Got a chicken cutlet sandwich with cold and old chicken cutlets. They must have came out the fridge from the day before thats how cold they were. I arrived around 11 so there is absolutely no way these cutlets were fresh. Also got a meatball sandwich that took about 20 minutes to make. I have no clue why nj food influencers recommend this place. 37.50 for two sandwiches chips and a drink. Overated and overpriced

What an incredible experience we had at Mikes. I planned for a pasta making class to celebrate my birthday and Mike really showed up and showed out. From the fun step by step on making delicious gnocchi to Sean who was there to assist with anything we needed and the 4 course dinner that followed. I cannot express enough what a phenomenal experience this was.The entire dinner was another dish even more delicious than the last. The cheese, the ricotta spread, marinated tomatoes, truffle pasta, pistachios pasta, cannolis. There was nothing that did not wow!In addition, because I was hosting a party at home after the pasta making and dinner. Mike was also able to get me set up with a sandwich tray and tomato & mozzarella tray to bring home for the party guests and everyone raved about the sandwiches and asked where to get them.I am absolutely going to be coming back to experience this again and cannot thank Mike & Sean enough for making this so fun and delicious!!

This is one of the best eggplant sandwiches I've ever had hands down. The whipped ricotta spread and the tomato jam really elevate the sandwich. Makes me want to move back to Nutley. If you are in the area I highly recommend Mike's.

Great place for Italian sandwiches and pasta. The special with salami, guanciale, artichoke and basil was so good. The guys are super nice, there’s a good meat to bread ratio, and they can make pretty much anything.

Sandwiches were pretty big and very filling. I ordered the Nutley. I ended up warming it up and adding additional balsamic at home as it was lacking in the sauce area. The cutlet on the sandwich was okay. I am curious to try the eggplant parm sandwich. They are able to swap and customize the sandwiches to your liking. Fresh sauce and other Italian goodies in store. Saw a sign about pasta making classes which piqued interest. Overall enjoyable and would try again.

Vegetarian options: There is an eggplant sandwich with ricotta which would be an ideal vegetarian option.

Parking: Very limited parking on the side street.

Mike’s is my go-to spot for lunch! Even if what you’re craving isn’t on the menu, they’ll do their best to accommodate! Sandwiches are delicious and the pasta is amazing. The staff is so nice and they remember you by name. And the cookies are BOMB :)
