This is one of the best eggplant sandwiches I've ever had hands down. The whipped ricotta spread and the tomato jam really elevate the sandwich. Makes me want to move back to Nutley. If you are in the area I highly recommend Mike's.

Great place for Italian sandwiches and pasta. The special with salami, guanciale, artichoke and basil was so good. The guys are super nice, there’s a good meat to bread ratio, and they can make pretty much anything.

Sandwiches were pretty big and very filling. I ordered the Nutley. I ended up warming it up and adding additional balsamic at home as it was lacking in the sauce area. The cutlet on the sandwich was okay. I am curious to try the eggplant parm sandwich. They are able to swap and customize the sandwiches to your liking. Fresh sauce and other Italian goodies in store. Saw a sign about pasta making classes which piqued interest. Overall enjoyable and would try again.Vegetarian options: There is an eggplant sandwich with ricotta which would be an ideal vegetarian option.Parking: Very limited parking on the side street.

Mike’s is my go-to spot for lunch! Even if what you’re craving isn’t on the menu, they’ll do their best to accommodate! Sandwiches are delicious and the pasta is amazing. The staff is so nice and they remember you by name. And the cookies are BOMB :)

Refreshing to walk into a business and it’s immediate that everyone loves working here. Got rid of all my boxed pasta because, after having Mike’s fresh pasta, never want boxed again. Freezes great also. Sandwiches are exceptional!! From classic house made rare roast beef to their amazing daily specials such as leg of lamb (which in my opinion tasted like the best gyro on steroids!) or Chicago Beef. This is high quality Italian specialty deli. Do not look at prices. Look at the quality ingredients. You will find something you like. If you can’t just ask one of the fine gentleman that can recommend. I personally never had a legit Mortadella sandwich aka panino, it was quality. You can’t go wrong with any sandwich. And if you don’t like to cook every night, you can order a take home Italian American specialty.

Mikes was good and i would eat here again for sure. The highlight was the macaroni salad (soooo good) and chicken cutlet sandwich, but didn't love the eggplant sandwich, the bread was too thick and over powered the eggplant and the tomato relish that came on it was very sweet, I felt that also over powered the sandwich and I couldn't taste the eggplant. I also got chickpea salad which was good and fresh but a lot of onions for my liking, if you don't like onions I would skip this one. Will return and try something different!

Went to a pasta making class here for our ladies holiday party and it was fantastic! We had so much fun making pasta to take home and the meal afterwards was so delicious. The guys here are so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!
