I am by no means an expert on "authentic" Chinese cuisine but I am definitely an expert on Chinese takeout and New King Chef beats them all. Just trust me because I've ordered from them all and been disappointed each time. When I was in college, I had a Chinese roommate who introduced me to "real" Chinese food at hole-in-the-wall locations and ever since then I have been more critical of what I will let pass for "Chinese food." Chinese takeout options have declined in quality since the 90's but this is my new go-to location for Chinese takeout and every item ordered has been to my satisfaction. My recommendation is to ask for egg in the fried rice and then mix it with a dash of their "homemade" mustard and I promise you will like the taste. When you are in the mood for Chinese food, your taste buds should be delighted, not disappointed and trust me they will be very happy at this location. Maybe one day I'll meet a Chinese girl who can re-introduce me to real and authentic Chinese cuisine! But until then, New King Chef is just fine.

I noticed my chicken was undercooked and called back to explain what I found. The manager told me to bring it back and that they’d give me a new order. There was a couple dining in and a customer at the counter, so obviously she tried to discredit me by saying that it isn’t undercooked and that I should’ve asked for it to be well done. Um… chicken should always be well done or else you get salmonella! She got an attitude and said I could either get my money back or get a new order. The chef was trying to be nice and understanding - which I appreciated - and told me he already prepared my new order, but it was up to me. I asked him for the new order and the manager very sarcastically asked if I wanted to check it. I said yes and cut the chicken in front of her and the chef, and of course, it was perfectly cooked. The chef agreed that chicken is supposed to look WHITE and she just yelled at him in their native language. I left and she was undoubtedly cursing me out in her native language, but I could care less. I wasn’t going to get sick because of their negligence, and by the looks of other reviews, this isn’t the only time they’ve served undercooked chicken. Disgusting.

This place SUCKS. I’ve ordered here many times before but never again. I was brought the wrong food by a delivery driver who yelled at me for not having the money for something more expensive that I DIDN’T order.. I came back with the money & he was yelled at me AGAIN for not tipping on his DISGRACEFUL attitude. I called the business to talk to a manager several times and they kept hanging up the phone on me. They delivery driver was outside of my place and he kept calling me. I really felt threatened. They lost my trust.

This is our go to Chinese take out spot. The food here is very good quality. We have tried many things over the years and they are always good. Some highlights would be-Spareribs, Hot and Sour Soup, Chicken and Broccoli, Fried Chicken Wings, House Special Chow Mei Fun, Sesame Noodles, Mu Shu Vegetable, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

I am a disabled senior. I ordered delivery and live in senior bldg. I said they must come in elevator up to 3rd flr as I cannot come to lobby. They didn't and kept calling for me to come downstairs. I refused to give a tip after that. Then the guy was very nasty and stormed out the door. No tip if you don't bring to my door as asked. I will not go there again.

Torn with this review. We ordered online and they were quick that’s probably the only reason for the 3 stars. The food itself was flavorless and the portion sizes were really small compared to other chinese restaurants in the area.
