I can’t believe I’ve driven by this place so many times and never went in. Absolutely amazing, fresh, delicious food! The staff was incredible and the owner makes you feel like family. It will now be a regular place for my family.

We waited in the lobby for 15 minutes, no one came out until I entered the dining room. The waitress was pleasant, we made our orders, portions very small Fettuccine Alfredo, and veal milanese only one piece of veal, very costly for both meals, will think twice about returning

Queen Margherita is a charming eatery that offers outstanding cuisine and exceptional service. While it may be a bit expensive, it is definitely worth the splurge. This BYOB spot has a cozy atmosphere. The burrata appetizer paired with melon and prosciutto was truly unique. It’s the ideal appetizer for summer. The meatballs are both tender and flavorful. The hot mussels were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of spice. I highly recommend finishing your meal with the dessert that had hints of chocolate and no bitterness at all. I look forward to returning to sample one of the homemade pasta dishes.

Wanted to take my mom out for a nice bday dinner and came across this gem. I knew the food was going to be good the Moment i walked in, and could hear almost everyone in the restaurant speaking Italian, or with a distinct Italian accent. The service was great with I think it was the owner that came to the table asking us how the food was. We were asking about some of the delicious dishes we were served and he was just charming and told us about how they make it. He provided complimentary wine and an additional side. We ate the chicken Regina, chicken Francese and tiramisu . Definitely coming back.

With more Italian restaurants in New Jersey than any other type of cuisine, it’s hard to narrow down our favorite ones, ranging from white tablecloth fine dining to casual family-style restaurants. Every town probably has at least one solid Italian spot, and there are over 500 towns in the Garden State.

Situated in the heart of Nutley on Washington Avenue, hidden beneath a dark red sign, we decided on Queen Margherita Trattoria, named after the 19th-century Italian royal, for dinner as first-timers. A reservation was easily made by calling this popular local restaurant.

Upon arrival at this cozy, welcoming, and lively vibe, my partner, our friends, I were greeted by the staff and got a table in the main dining room, which was a bit tight.

For appetizers, we decided on Grilled Octopus and Meat Rice Balls. As the main meal, we opted for Pollo alla Parmigiana, Pollo Regina, and Sea Bass Marechiara.

A complimentary basket of bread baked in the wood-burning oven with a dipping sauce of olive oil and finely diced vegetables began our meal.

The dishes are all homemade with time and care, which comes through in each and every dish. They were deliciously tasty with the right amount of seasonings. The owners clearly love their heritage and honor that legacy with everything they do.

The staff was very accommodating, polite, and well-paced; our server was James. The portions were huge and the price reasonable.

It's not just any Italian restaurant when one has the owner, Pasquale, singing to the patrons and feels right at home, which we can recommend.

We had a party here with about 30 guests and it couldn't have gone better. Most importantly, the food was excellent and all of my guests said the same. I set the party up with James and he was accommodating and very helpful along the way. Everyone had a great time and I'm sure we'll be back. If you're looking for somewhere to host a small to mid-size party, you should definitely give them a call.

Always on point! Never disappointed! Worth the one hour drive for us.

Maybe we came on an off night, but the food was not good. All the sauces, regardless of the kind, were bitter and so oily. No glasses for water - just small aluminum cups. Chairs were literally falling apart. Wait staff was friendly and efficient.

Worst meal ever!!! Been coming here for years but last night was the worst. First we stood in the lobby for 15 minutes without being greeted. Along with a dozen others

Once seated our server did a terrific job. But unfortunately two simple veal dishes were ruined by the kitchen

We could not eat them!!!

Should have sent them back but frankly it was 8:30 and not worth the trouble

We just won’t go back

Time for ownership to get involved in the kitchen! They need help
