Awful. This place went downhill. The sauce tastes like they slathered a can of plain tomato sauce without seasoning it. Way too much flavorless sauce and too little cheese. The pizza is overcooked and looks like Chuck E. Cheese pizza!!!

After a wild Saturday night at The Laundromat, I found myself in desperate need of some comfort food to nurse my hangover, and Ralph’s Pizzeria in Nutley was my go to choice. Ralph's has earned an impressive 8.9 rating on the One Bite Pizza app, ranking it the 3rd highest rated pizza spot in New Jersey, so I knew I was in for something good.
I ordered two pies for takeout, a large cheese pie, well done, and a large Margherita pie. Ralph’s cheese pie has been my tried and true favorite for years, and as always, it did not disappoint. The combination of their flavorful sauce, rich cheese, and perfectly crisp, well done crust is simply top notch. It’s a pizza that never misses, always delivering consistent quality. This pie is what earns Ralph’s its stellar reputation, and I completely agree with the high rating on One Bite.
As for the Margherita pie, it was just okay. I’ve definitely had better versions elsewhere. Ralph’s isn’t known for their Margherita, and it shows in the overall flavor. While not terrible, it didn't have the wow factor of their cheese pie, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to order it again. Stick with what they’re famous for, the plain cheese.
When I picked up my order, the place was packed, buzzing with in person and phone orders, a clear sign that Ralph’s is a local favorite. If you’re in or around Nutley, do yourself a favor and order the large cheese pie well done. It’s worth every bite, and you won’t regret it.

Some places don’t need reviews. Some places already have the awards and recognition and the reviews. Ralph’s is one of those places. My little review won’t add anything that hasn’t already been said or taken a pic of.
And yet, here I am, wanting to give back to this pizzeria that has fed us on more nights than I can count. On my little ones favorite pizzeria. The pizza she compares all over pizzas to and there hasn’t been one to dethrone Ralphs yet. The pizza is consistently great. It doesn’t matter which one you get. They’re all great. The pastas are great too. Ralph’s is just serving out amazing quality food every day all day without batting an eye. They were born for this. To feed pizza lovers and everyone in between.
They have four small tables inside plus a handful of tables outside. They also have a main dining room. Parking is plentiful.
The service is friendly and professional. We’ll be back soon. Hope to see you there.
Their presentation of tiramisu has got to be the ugliest… kinda scoops of ice cream and then they add chocolate syrup? It’s a weird presentation… specially if you wanted it for a small birthday cake for photo

I came to this place because of TikTok. I love it when small businesses get hyped up on social media. I ordered a Cheese slice, Margherita (boohoo of its misspelled, lol) slice, and a Sicilian slice. Cheese slice was definitely a solid 7, IMO. Margherita and Sicilian need to be eaten on the spot for full flavor and cheese pull, but give them a 10 for both. Very budget friendly too.
