The Crazy Argentinian Empanadas

My recent visit was incredibly disappointing. After waiting over 20 minutes for my order, I was surprised to find that despite the long delay, the food was cold and, inexplicably, had burnt ends. It was a truly baffling combination.
To add to the frustration, there was a complete lack of communication among the staff. I was asked if I had paid and if the order was even mine, which clearly indicated disorganization between the front of house and the food preparers. This kind of basic oversight, coupled with the long wait and the poor quality of the food, made for a very negative experience. I hope they can address these significant issues.

Absolutely loved our experience at The Crazy Argentinean restaurant in Nutley! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the owner Mauricio and his wife, which made the whole meal feel even more special.

We tried a few different flavors of the empanadas — each one was delicious and packed with flavor. The milanesa with salad and fries was cooked perfectly, just like a true taste of Argentina. And to top it all off, we had some amazing Argentinean pastries.

The highlight? Mauricio surprised us with a chocoflan dessert on the house — such a kind and generous gesture. It was the perfect sweet ending to a memorable meal.

God bless Mauricio and his beautiful family. May their business continue to grow and thrive! We’re definitely coming back soon and highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone who loves good food and good people.

Absolutely delicious! From the empanadas to the desserts, everything was amazing. It was our first time trying Argentinian food, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The empanadas especially the pulled pork and matambre—were packed with flavor. My son had a mango smoothie and was blown away by the mix of flavors. Highly recommend this spot 10/10!

I love these empanadas and the staff at the restaurant! When you order a dozen they pack it nicely in a box which is perfect to bring to gatherings, it is a hit.

We passed by and we decided to go in...we met Laura, Luciano and his uncle!!! great people!!! we had coffee and facturas!! we loved it !!! great atmosphere, clean place, great people!! you must visit this cozy place in Nutley!!

This is a newer place. I have passed this place recently and always wanted to try it but due to my schedule it has been hard. Finally went in this morning and did not disappoint. The owner Luciano I believe super friendly, and welcoming. The empanadas were 5 Stars ! So tasty. I was given chimi sauce and a spicy one. The chimi was so good but the the spicy….was amazing. Can’t wait to grab a couple more next time.

A friend told me how delicious the empanadas were and she was spot on. I can’t believe I didn’t order sooner. Spicy beef is 😍

We love everything that we ordered! We ordered the Patagonia and Buenos aires napolitana. Matambre and Rosa empanada taste so goood! Big portions.
The service is amazing. Laura is very nice and always asking if we need anything. We will definitely be back

If you are looking for traditional Argentinean empanadas, this is the place for you. They have excellent food, fantastic customer service and a lovely, cozy atmosphere makes for a great overall experience. We need more businesses like this in the area to showcase the wonderful food from such a beautiful country. Different varieties of empanadas are available and the kids menu is fantastic as well. You can't go wrong.

Reasonably priced and the food is delicious! The restaurant itself is decorated very nicely and the staff was welcoming. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area or within a 15 minute drive!
