Best REAL Israeli restaurant in America. Guaranteed. Hole-in-the-wall, zero curb appeal, very few parking spots, and more than an hour and 15 mins drive from Fair Lawn / Teaneck (+tolls + GSP traffic) - yet, if you appreciate Israeli food, it's definitely worth it!!
The word.Balagan means mess. This place is a.tiny little hole in the wall with neon OPEN sign out front. It has zero curb appeal which make you think twice about entering and there is little to no seating, but guess what....the food is fresh and tasty and portions were substantial. You'll leave satisfied and probably with a doggy bag to enjoy the rest for lunch tomorrow.
The food is pretty good and the staff are out of this world respectful and kind. When we asked for extra pita to go the did not even charge and said it was on the house. Nice place with a chef who he himself is from Jerusalem. He was wonderful and kind as well as the man who took our order.
