Before you read my detailed and honest review, please note that I typically steer away from all types of chicken, especially live. However, a good tender (or finger, depending on your location) is something I can really get behind. When my dining acquaintance and I passed by Chick P’s we were wholeheartedly appalled at the prices. We both stopped in our tracks and let our jaws loose. $13 for tenders, $12 for fries (or chips, depending on your location). I know how it seems, i felt the same way. However, please note that this is sized for two people and not one. My acquantice and I ordered a tenders and a fries. 6 tenders, “150 [fries] maybe more.” Truly a bucket of fries with added cheese cup that was far too heavy. The tenders were spar, some of the better ones i’ve ever had. The fries were dancing in my mouth and jigging on my taste buds with fervor. The hype is real. The ooey gooey cheese mixed with spicy dicy fries makes for taste that excites. Yet, when the bucket of fries’ capacity ebbed to a volume of just about 39%, the cheese sauce weight took over and started tipping the bucket like a child’s domino. Anyways, I enjoyed my dining here. Although, I have to say, while I did receive some chickie, I was not able to find any pete in my dish. “I don’t know if you already said this, like in your review, but I can only imagine how big the family bucket [of fries] would be!!!” -my dining acquaintance

Um so it was 10:30 and we walk up to the window and boy with long haired said they were closed even though Google advertises the establishment as open til 11. Also the literal window was still open so what?
Hours advertised for a 9 pm closing but closed at 8 pm. Owners should update their website. Other patrons disappointed too.

I don’t usually write reviews, but as someone that works in the food service industry I am baffled by the service I received. The girl behind the counter was EXTREMELY rude. I kindly told her what I wanted, and let her know that I wanted ketchup on the side, she YELLED at me that the ketchup was in front of my face. Also she gave me ice cold fries that weren’t even filled to the top of the bucket. Super disappointing experience.

Very good snack option. Would have loved to have tried the pretzel nuggets but they were never available. Also for those who don't like crab... There is no crab on these fries at all thankfully lol the fried mozzarella was good they gave a nice size amount for the price.

Great place if you like paying $10 for a few fries and lousy service. I ordered "plain" fries for my four-year-old son who is allergic to everything. The guy at the counter said, "Sure." Than the guy with a mustache, sitting on his a$$ staring at his phone, said, "We don't do plain fries anymore." So the guy running the register says, "I guess we don't do plain fries anymore." Wonderful service. I guess this is how Chickies treats its' customers. Avoid this place if you're looking for good service!
The best! Everything was great. Great food. Great service. Will be back

Great crab fries
I'm sorry but I tried the crab Mac and cheese and hated it. I'm not a picky eater but I had to toss these things out. Praying I don't wake up sick. Should have went with the fries, they looked way better.
They had a booth at a concert in Camden NJ I went to. $15.99 for some lousy overcooked Ore Ida fries with dollar store grade crab seasoning is absolute robbery! Price gouge much? Not to mention the fries were inedible as well as the Velveeta-quality queso they “gave” us to dip them in. For $3.99 I can make my own fries with real Old Bay rather than ever patronize this business ever again.
When at the OCNJ boardwalk, you have to have the crab fries with dipping sauce and PA Dutch Birch Beer. Just remember to cover the fries before stepping away from the cover of the canopy otherwise we’ve seen seagulls dive bomb other customer’s to take their crab fries.
Best crab fries on the boardwalk.
