Was seated outside in sort of an alley, not that desirable but he food was good, service was ok. They didn't seem to have enough staff and they didn't come to the table enough.

The food is overpriced and low quality. I wasn’t going to originally write a review but the owner went out of his way to call me because he forces some of his staff to focus on take out orders and they rely on tips on the takeout orders. As this is not a common practice or even advertised anywhere on his website he told me he makes 4-5 calls a day to customers that didn’t tip on takeout food. I’m not sure what he expects out of making that call, but maybe he should consider factoring in take out orders into his business model for paying his staff or not doing takeout. We got to the restaurant before the pickup time (which was originally given a 50 min wait time) then we had to wait an additional 15 mins for the food so even if it was a large order probably not worth the tip bc it wasn’t ready on time or near on time. Also the quality of the food was poor. The calamari appetizer was rubbery and flavorless. The chicken parmesan was bland and flavorless which is due a lot to the sauce. I’m not sure there were any Italian seasonings in the sauce but there are better chicken parmesans at fast food restaurants as a sandwich than at Cousins. The cheese was not fresh and the chicken slid out of the bread crumbs as you tried cutting it.The meatballs were bland and flavorless, again likely a large part of the sauce but the meatballs tasted like meat rolled together without much (if any) seasoning or flavor. They could use some food quality control for sure on the Italian side of their food, but if Italian is what you want, don’t come here to eat.The one star I can give them is on their salad dressing that was good and that was about it.

I love this place. We've been two years in a row on our trips to OC and the food is good & filling and the staff are lovely.

Definitely a hidden gem on the island. Located in the bottom floor of a house on Asbury Avenue but much farther north away from all of the other shops and restaurants. My girlfriend, 8-year-old son and I went here for dinner last weekend on Sunday night and really enjoyed it. It was our first time here. Weird vibe with the low ceilings and crowded space but the food was good and the staff very friendly. The house salad that came with our food was kind of sad with lettuce drowning in dressing and a few token tomatoes and cucumbers. But our entrees were very good, if a little pricey. I got the shrimp and crabmeat scampi ($35) and my girlfriend got the Cousins Special ($37). I definitely recommend them both. My son got the linguini with red sauce and a single meatball from the kids menu ($10). The sauce and meatball were pretty flavorless, in my opinion. The food took a little over an hour to come out, but our waitress was extremely friendly and apologetic (I heard several staff apologizing to other tables for the wait as well), and we were in no rush, so not a big deal. Overall I'm glad we came, and we'll be back!

On Friday night, we ate outside at the side tables, where it is much quieter. Our waitress, Ebony, was great! So sweet, and wonderful service. I got pasta with red sauce, and hubby got French onion soup, and pasta with veggies and garlic/oil. As always, same delicious bread and dressing on the salad. Huge portions, reasonably priced.

We dined in 6 pmish. Oue dinners were:Crab meat with pasta in red sauce and chicken and crab meat marsala. Portions were generous and properly cooked but the red sauce was very under seasoned and the marsala also tasted like it lacked...the marsala flavor.Overall we were disappointed and for our experience both dishes were overpriced. We will likely not go back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free pasta available was penne

Extremely friendly staff and amazing food. They have a separate gluten free menu if you require that, but they were also able to make me a dish from the main menu with gluten free pasta substituted. The crab meat pasta and pasta riviera were amazing.

This is our first time going to cousins restaurant this year during our trip to Ocean City. The food is definitely excellent, it's a small restaurant with very low ceilings however, it has a very nice cozy feel. The wait staff is excellent cheery and fun. We've ordered the veal Parmesan, the seafood platter, stuffed shells, and everything was delicious. One of the best dishes was the side plate of linguini with garlic and oil. The food was so fresh and fragrant. It made us go back a second time in one week. I highly recommend this place!

Bad experience on a Saturday nite in May. Started out bad and ended bad. ? only one waitress with zero personality. Gave us the smallest table possible. Could not fit salad, dinner, rolls and beverages all on the table at once. Gave us the bill for dinner which was not itemized at all . Just a white blank paper with the number $85.00 on it. I asked her why our bill was not itemized and she said the computer was not working. I added up our bill and it did not come to her amount. So she let me look at the screen and of course the bill was wrong. She put in the wrong dinner for my husband! She wanted me to use a credit card but we wanted to pay cash. I had to give her the exact amount, as she did not have change. We will NEVER come back to this place again. They were disorganized and the food was very expensive. I only hope people do not have to go through this experience. I was so disappointed!

4 of the 6 people in our party didn't enjoy their food. The calamari was like fried rubber bands, the tomato sauce on the pasta that came with the eggplant ricotta tasted like burnt garlic. The restaurant was excessively loud to the point of being completely unenjoyable.
