Went to Express Pizza today for lunch. We ate in and got a large cheese pizza and a few other items. As a self proclaimed pizza connoisseur, the cheese pizza was fantastic. I have no complaints about it and was one of my top pizzas I've had. The cheese and sauce were perfect, high quality. The crust was magical. Crispy on the bottom but so light and fluffy (idk how you do it). The cheese and sauce were "tight" on the pizza, wasn't a sloppy mess. Perfection.

Ordered spicy roni pizza. Crust was good. Jalapenos and pepperoni were plentiful. However, cheese was very disappointing. Pizza had virtually no cheese on it. Called back to advise as to lack of cheese and spoke to Joan who apologized and said she did not look at it before it went out.

I have to agree it the best pizza on the island. (Preps on the boardwalk is good too) The location is closer to the Gardens and not near the boardwalk. Quick little strip section of retail. They have a couple of versions of crust, but I like the super thin version which is almost no dough , but has a great crunch to it. The sauce is sweet and does not have the acid taste some pizzas do. Overall, it is worth a few minutes away from downtown to grab a bite. Not sure about the cheese steak, but will grab it before heading home to MD.
Placed an order for pickup. Order given over phone, repeated by server, all good. The order was for 3 cheese steaks, 2 large cheese pizzas, one tuna wrap came to $97.00 and some change. Picked up order, got home and found tuna wrap w/provolone, lettuce, tomato was now a Turkey club? 2 plain cheese pizzas where the cheese bubbles on the top of each pizza were black/over cooked. In my book crisp is not black/overcooked! When my wife called to complain and correct the tuna wrap debacle she was told it would take 30 to 40 minutes to correct? They made the mistake they should correct it immediately! My wife walked around the block to to the restaurant to force a quick resolution while we all (10) waited for her to return. Our dinner was now cold. We were very disappointed!Never had this problem with the former owner!

The pizza is elite, the best on the shore (and arguably the country), it does not get better. It is always cooked to perfection and the quality impresses every time. The service is unbeatable and they work hard at their craft. I am a pizza snob and I highly recommend Express to anyone. Eat it while it's hot and fresh out of the oven.
