The location and the staff are what make this a great establishment. Oh, and also probably those sauces… I had the crabcake and it was an OK crabcake nothing fantastic but to be honest, I am not a huge crabcake fan… But I figure when in Rome…
chips oh my! They were delicious!
Oh, and the fruit tea was fantastic - highly recommend! Not too sweet and so refreshing
I don’t know if it was worth the hour wait… Had we planned a little better and got our name on the list earlier? It would definitely have been worth it.

My brother Bill swears by this place......he's been going for years.....I finally got there last month, I had to bring him home some, so I tried them....boy if they were the best one's I have ever had....usually all stuffing...Not these..... all meat...I have to bring the crabshell sandwich home for the brother..... again......

Good food but man is it expensive. Expected for a tourist restaurant on the boardwalk though. Good service.

We love Ike's! We go every time we stay in Ocean City for the past four summers at least twice in the week. The food is consistently good no matter what we order (and we have tried almost everything except the chicken sandwich over the years). Our favorite is the Crab and Corn Chowder. The crab cakes, of course, are excellent as well. Clam strips, calamari, and cheesesteak eggrolls are top notch. I can go on and on. The service is also prompt and with a smile. Even the music they play is great... Pearljam, John Mellencamp, and other alternative rock mixed with classics and some current songs. Its just a great place with good vibes all around.
We made the mistake this year of trying a new seafood place first. It was trash compared to Ikes. We promptly returned to Ikes as honestly it is THE BEST!

Excellent crab cakes
I'm not one who should be leaving a review because this was my first time eating crab cake.....it was okay, my wife had the dish tacos and she said next time she would order them fried and not grilled. But the service was excellent and the atmosphere was what you'd expect from a coastal seafood restaurant.

Best boardwalk food so far. I liked the crab cakes, and kiddo enjoyed the kids shrimp. The clam strips were good and so were the boardwalk chips. It was a 20 min wait for a table around 730

Not sure why these crab cakes are famous ... mostly filler ... waitresses toss stuff on your table as they fly by ... won't waste my money here again.
This place is a MUST every time we visit OCNJ. Sometimes, we even eat here more than once each trip because it’s just that good!!!! Quick service, very relaxed atmosphere, and some of the best seafood dishes I have had. Honestly everything I’ve tried on the menu has been delicious- crab cakes, shrimp, etc. But my must-have dish every time we go are the loaded butterfly chips!
