Food was great! Really good sized portions and everything was fresh! Can’t wait to order again from there!
There were three people in my party. Each of us ordered something different; Coconut Shrimp, Drunken Shrimp & a large Build Your Own Salad with six jumbo shrimp on top (extra charge). Everything was delicious and we were all pleasantly, not uncomfortably full. Good size portions, friendly service & and quaint, cute sea food restaurant.
I feel like I can't say enough nice things about this place, its owners and its staff!

We've been dining at the Island Grill in Ocean City New Jersey for over two decades. It's a must stop for our family and we'll make multiple visits to this restaurant during our trips to the shore.
This restaurant has been run by the same family for close to 30 years. In this day and age that saying something. They know how to get it right and they know how to keep it running!
There is wide variety on the menu to please everyone in your group and the food is DELICIOUS! It's carefully prepared and it's reasonably priced, which is especially important when you're talking about vacation destination restaurants.
The ambiance is that of of a seafood restaurant with comfortable seating utilizing tables or booths. The staff is well trained and attentive, even when the restaurant is busy.
Honestly I can't say enough nice things about the Island Grill in Ocean City New Jersey. Like I said, our family's been going there for over two decades and it's the dining highlight of our trips to the shore.
Definitely make a stop here, and much like the fish they serve, you'll be hooked on it too.

We rented a Vrbo near the boardwalk and parking was a concern but saw this restaurant which we went before with my extended family. Food was excellent, family owned business, I had the seafood platter perfect, great value and very fresh. Brought back memories with extended family.

Amazing, fresh food and incredible service! Their shrimp corn chowder is absolutely delicious as is their key lime pie! Their crab imperial is ALL crab and a lot of it! Will definitely be back again!

The food was good, there were 6 of us dining and 5 had a good plate, one guest ordered the 79 dollar combo and it came to the table looking exactly like his wife's mini combo, only his shrimp were stuffed. It was crowded, difficult to get a server back so he just ate it. But it came without the lobster tails. Extremely disappointing. Another guest ordered the filet and loved it. I tried the maple pecan salmon and was not disappointed, it was very good. Another guest had the honey garlic chicken, when it came it was over rice, but there was corn in the rice. He was allergic to sent it back and had it over mashed potatoes instead. Just a note, servers should ask about allergies. We order the philly quesadilla which was average. Dinner wasn't bad with a few hiccups but the seating does give off a diner feel.

Have been here twice this year for a family dinner. Great food and excellent service. Our server tonight was Skylar and she was very polite, attentive, and for how busy they were, everything was very fast. Snapper was great and I loved garlic mashed potatoes. I’m looking forward to coming back.

We have owed in OC for years and finally made a point to visit island grill. As a foodie, I can say based on my selection of the wild boar chops (sadly a special) it is very likely the best food on the island. For fun my family and I opted to spend a full week and try every “high end” restaurant on the island over 7 days. I won’t disparage the other 6 but island grill was the best on the island. My only comment on atmosphere was a lack of music on the patio as it was oddly quiet. Otherwise my advice to the owners. Start a dinner club and my family and I will gladly buy in, as the only thing that could have made the flavors offered by the chef better would have been a bottle of wine. Congrats IG!

The online ordering process is very convenient. Especially if you live or stay a short walk to the restaurant it's a really great place for takeout. Dining in is nice, too but be prepared to wait for a table.
