Our dinner was delicious. We had the special, which was chicken breast with dates and also the hummus entree. The falafel appetizer was presented beautifully. The service 10/10, presentation of food 10/10 and the food 10/10. Amazing neighborhood restaurant!

This place is a hidden gem, it’s in a low-key place and the vibe of the restaurant feels like you’re visiting a culture while having amazing food. There was music which made us want to dance plus the owner was really generous and acted respectfully. We went for lunch and it was well worth it, the chicken shawarma was amazing and the fries are absolute top notch, the seasoning and everything was perfect, if your going for lunch it’s perfect as the food quality is the best it might be a little expensive but it was amazing. I saw some reviews saying the owner was not respectful, but trust me he is the only person working and sometimes when there is a lot of people mis behave can conduct but in my case there was no one and he was in a happy mode and served us with great care, kept coming to check if we needed something. Honestly don’t listen to the bad reviews plus you won’t know till you try, the dinner menu is more expensive so watch out for that but other than that, everything is amazing definitely will be going there again.

A hidden gem! So delicious, & while the amazing chef/owner may initially seem prickly, he’s really wonderful. Take your time— this food can’t be rushed. Highly recommended. BYOB.

I treated myself to the cafe 28 special for lunch. I'm so full but if I had extra falafel I probably wouldn't stop eating. Delectable. Surprisingly scrumptious. I am thankful I live around the corner so the falafel will be mine.

We’ve been going here for years now and the chef and owner, Mohammed, has hands down the best food in the area. The food is carefully prepared and everything he serves is authentic. The atmosphere is quaint and quiet and is our weekly go-to when we go out to dinner. We recommend the lamp chops, lebnah, red pepper dip, halloumi salad, hummus, and anything made with shrimp or fish.
