Moved to this area a few years ago. Always looked for a deli that makes a good simple ham and swiss on rye. Looks like I found one. Fresh rye bread, a large portion of boiled ham and swiss. Looks like my search is done.

Unassuming deli that we found online. Great reviews and I can see why. The cranberry chicken salad in a wrap was good but needed a little kick to it. Banana peppers is a good addition with cheese and tomato. The pickle chips that come on the side were also good. They have tons of sandwich options too. Not sure the connection to the crumb cake company but they had it in the fridge. The vanilla crumb cake was delicious. Highly recommend. They have other flavors too like cinnamon swirl. The people working there were very nice too. Would come back anytime!

Showed up on a Sunday at 2:15. Gentleman’s first words were “grill is closed all I have are salads.” Their advertising states open till 3pm. He said he starts closing up at 2pm. I asked if subs were still available since I’ve come here before and love their subs. I live about 40 minutes away and drove all the way for a sub. He said it depends on what I want because he is not going to open up 6 meats for one sub. I understand if it’s 10-15 minutes before closing, but 40 minutes is out of the ordinary. I walked out and he proceeded to turn the open sign off and lock the door. Very delicious food, but disappointed with his customer service.

What an Absolutely Awesome "Experience " The Monmouth Clubhouse Deli was, The Owner was one of the Nicest ,down the Earth people I've ever met .The Sandwich was Fantastic,from the top quality meats and Brooklyn Roll . I can't say enough about this Establishment.This Deli is the Gold Standard !!!!Thanks again for The Amazing Experience,See ya Next week!!!!!

Over the years we have enjoyed sandwiches from here for over 30+ years when the original Proprietor's first opened in the location where Hawk's Sub's was.Before the Hauxhurst Family built a Brick Structure that replaced a old wooden structure along Highway #35 that was called Lou's Subs that was a favorite spot to get a very good sub sandwich during the early 1970's as a young teenager.Today's visit at the West Park Avenue, Ocean Township location was the first time since April 2019 when Ralph and his brother still ran the place.The new owners have been operating it for over 2 years when they purchased it from Ralph, who finally got his wish to move to the Carolina's..They have kept the name and the same menu.Kit and I decided to stop in for lunch after her Dentist Appointment.She had a Garden Salad with Egg Salad and Balsamic Salad Dressing.I had the Clubhouse Sub Special.The sandwich was just as good and delicious like Ralph and his Brother made and Kit enjoyed her Salad Immensely.This new Proprietor has continued the art of making a delicious Sub and Salad into it's Fourth Proprietor from Lou's to their business...
Always loved this place, The new owners are great too. Still quality coming out of there. Wish them success

I arrived at the clubhouse today November 20, 2022 at 1 PM. I walked in and ordered a half pound of ham and a quarter pound of Swiss. I was told that I would have to wait until after 2 o’clock for my order even though there were no customers in the store . The prices in the store were at least 20% to 30% higher than advertised on the Internet. The person behind the counter was rude and said that I would have to call in Vance even though it was Sunday and there was no one else there. I walked out and I will not be back.

Customers are rude and this place takes way too long. I was sitting there for 15 minutes waiting to put in an order without even a sorry folks from the owner or his son. Slow as a turtle!!!
