Staffs are friendly. But food was below average..
Extremely rude staff. They forgot one of our orders and didn't believe us that we have placed the order. When everyone was more than half way done, the waitress almost tossed the plate onto the table without saying a word.
My husband and I really like the 도가니무침 (spicy beef knee cartilage) here. It's sweet and sour with gelatinous texture that keeps you reaching for more. Yesterday we also ordered the seafood pancake and it was perfectly chewy with a crispy crust. The army base stew was good too. This place is BYOB which is great! They normally close at 10 according to Google but this particular Thursday night we were the last customers at around 8:30/9 so I saw them quietly sweeping the other side. However, they never rushed us and let us drink with our friend until we were done. If anything, I felt bad that they weren't able to close because of us so we left early and went to a different restaurant for round 2. I really appreciated their courtesy.
Food is ok. The staff, I mean the whole staff including the manager are rude and flat out unprofessional. We were told to leave the restaurant at 9pm when they close at 9:30. Told us because we were the only customers. No.. there are no customers because you tell ppl to leave before the closing time.
Clean and bright atmosphere, tasty 설렁탕 at a reasonable price.. I am satisfied and full!
I'm Korean and I have to admit one of the worst service staff, they straight up ignore you even if you ask for things in Korean. we got solungtang which is what they are known for and when we asked for pa / spring onions they just gave us a blank stare. the food was decent but I would never go back or recommend this place. even as we were leaving we told the staff thank you for the food in Korean and no acknowledgment...
Great authentic Korean cuisine, my parents prefer this place over all others.
Extremely over-priced. 15-ish $ bibimbap comes with only several grams of beef. I have to leave the restaurant in half full. Not recommended.
Very unkind man..
parking lot empty, parked there leaving another driver in the car while going to the bubble tea place nearby. Bonga owner asked us to move the car. Again, we were the only car in the lot, many spaces open. Congratulations, we will never try your restaurant.
Restaurantji Recommends
good taste, so similar with original Korean food
Very friendly staff and great food. Would recommend.
Good Korean food.Parking is limited but the owner is kind enough to valet for free.
I tried this restaurant because it is located near Central Cleaners and Shop Rite in Palisades Park. When I walked in, the waitress looked at me a bit strangely, but seated me, and when she brought the menu she questioned me about my desire for spicy food. In fact, I do like spicy food, but had some premonitions about whether this really Korean korean restaurant might prove to be my downfall. In the event, I ordered calamari, which came with a fine assortment of korean appetizers including a welcome soup, and despite the waitress' doubts and fears the spice level was very reasonable for an American, anbf the quality of the dishes was excellent. I had been hoping for low prices, but most dishes range from $25 - $40, so modest. The restaurant is distinguished by the fact that its name is spelled in Korean, not English, and all the other diners were ethnic Koreans, so one might call it a hidden Korean gem There is limited offstreet parking. I believe that this is a new listing and would be interested to see what other gaijin have to say.
It was as if they used pretty good quality ingredients but didn't prepare well. Not memorable, nothing to brag about.
