Pretty good Korean cold noodles on a hot summer! With some Korean pancake, galbi, and much more. Semi-self servicing, and frequented by many Koreans after golfing so you know it's legit!

The best cold buckwheat noodles in the area. Highly recommend both the mool naengmyun and the spicy naengmyun.

This is a restaurant specialized in Korean cold noodles. You placed the order at the cash register then picked up the food when your number is displayed. The naengmyun is refreshing and delicious. The water and bone broth are also self service. There is no kimchi came with the noodles but you can asked for it at the counter.

I ordered galbi and there were just bones and no meat attached to them. And you know galbi is expensive. I spoke to the woman(whoever was taking the payment) and she had a nasty attitude talking about “what you want me to do?” I was like “I don’t know. What you think you should do?”
She went to the ppl in the kitchen without telling me what she’s doing about it.
Nasty attitude that matched their nasty bland food
Disappointed.

The place went straight Down hill. The quality and taste of the food is old. They are producing large quantities at once for the week or month. Instead of daily. When you consider everything such as price it's definitely a ripoff. They are better options in the area

The food is delicious, but it gets quite crowded during meal times.

One of the best naengmyun (buckwheat) noodle in Jersey. It's self-serve, so no tipping. I prefer the raw skate noodle but their cold broth noodles are just as good.

Their cold noodle is really good to cool you down during this hot summer. Tastes really good. They do offer large size, but you don't need to order it, because the regular size portion is really a lot. Highly recommend this place.

You'd never know Sambong exists from street level because it's tucked away on the second floor of a larger complex. Getting there is a little like finding a speakeasy - enter through a nondescript entrance, pass the bakery on the right to get to the stairs in the rear, and pass the other restaurant to get to this one in the middle of the hallway. It's a bit of a maze, but clearly the word is out because there was already a wait spilling out into the hallways on a random Thursday lunch hour.
Sambong is a machine of a restaurant. Another reviewer made the comparison to the Seinfeld soup nazi episode, and they're spot on. The woman at the register will note how many people are in your party and issue you a number, which will be called twice. The first time, to take your order and accept advance payment; the second time will be for your actual seating. It's a brilliant system because by the time you sit down with your group, you only have to wait a few short minutes before your order is already at the window. And, of course, cafeteria-style dining means that you don't have to tip.
Can I divulge a small secret here? I'm not the biggest fan of naengmyeon. Don't get me wrong - I'm all on board with ice cold noodles on a hot summer's day, but I've always found the super-chewy arrowroot noodles to be an acquired taste because they don't always yield to cutting by teeth, leaving you to awkwardly chew through a mouthful like a masticating cow. So if you're new to Korean cold noodles, know that this will be a new texture. But if you're going to try it for the first time, this is definitely the place. Sambong is one of extremely few places to make their noodles fresh in house (which is likely why they're so popular), and they're much thinner here than other noodle houses, which I find preferable. Scissors will often be provided on your tray - use these to cut your noodles down to size so you're not left gnawing on long strands that hang out of your mouth (I'm speaking from experience here, of course).
Cold noodles with marinated meat are a classic combo, and the L.A. Galbi set is a winner. It's a small serving but extremely well-marinated and extremely flavorful.
Other perks and must-knows - this is self-served, so you pick up, retrieve, and return your own trays, along with cutlery. There are also spigots of unlimited hot bone broth to enjoy before your food comes out.

cold noodle here is about on par with any other good cold noodle place in the region. What stands out here for me is their mung bean pancake (빈대떡), so don’t miss that if you go.
Lady upfront is a true ice queen! She isn‘t really there for hospitality. She has zero interest in showing any sort of gratitude or customer service. Maybe she just didn’t like my face or she was having a bad day. Whatever it is, i just gotta ignore her lack of smile and enjoy the food as much as i can next time i go.

It’s a self service place with descent food and no tips. Self service water and hot broth to drink. But the prices may not be as great as you think for what you get. The cold water naeng myun tasted bland although I usually eat on the bland side. It has one thin slice of meat. The dumplings order has only five pieces for 13 dollars; they are not that big and they were soggy and overcooked. Almost all five pieces fell apart or the skin ripped while we were trying to eat them.

My go to place for cold noodle in Pal Park. It’s located on the second floor of a small shopping plaza on Broad Ave. You order and pay as you enter, grab a table and pay close up your food at the counter when your number is called. It’s self service so no tipping required. The cold noodle is very refreshing on a warm way and it can get pretty busy during lunch.
