We had soondae tang, small soondae and kalgoksoo. The soondae was mixed; white soondae was more flavorful than the regular and soondae soup was OK. It was disappointing visit overall due to high expectation.
Family owned small business that offers the best soulongtang (beef bone soups) and sundaeguk (blood sausage soups) in the neighborhood. Their prices have gone up since I first started going here years ago but the soup is still great and a decent value. The shop is no-frills with a few table tops and stools. Everything use to be $10 and then during the pandemic, prices varied and I didn't like that they didn't have their prices posted but now they do which is much more...
I would say it takes the crown for the best Jokbal for the area. Price is a little higher than before but it is what it is. Ultimately, still very delicious, quality braised pig trotters for take out. Comes with kimchi, sauces and raw garlic/jalapeno. Or eat-in with some soondae and soups. Street parking only but shouldn’t have a problem since people come and go a lot around here.
