Awesome place for lobsters. They have a special lobster combo deal on weekdays. It's my favorite lobster place in the area. The manager and staff are super nice, great customer service

Overall the food is good. I would give 4 stars for this. The reason for 5 stars is because of the staff, especially the waiter. I'm not sure if he's the manager but this Korean guy deserves to be one if he's not. Very professional, friendly, attentive, and if I owned a restaurant, I would scout him. A+

Used to be my favorite Spanish restaurant in North Jersey. Always had memorable times here. Paella Valenciana was delicious along with the pork chops and Chilean sea bass. Have heard they got new management and place "isn't as good" now. But I will have to check this out in person next time I'm in NJ area

We arrived early on a Tuesday evening. My wife asked how a shrimp dish was prepared and the waiter replied "cooked". She asked how..."Grilled, baked, fried, broiled?" and he said "Yes". I don't think he was being rude but rather there was a language barrier. Since my wife does not like rice, I asked if we could substitute fingerling potatoes, a small salad, fries or a vegetable, all of which were listed on the menu. He said "no". I questioned this and he said "Our manager doesn't let this happen" so we asked to see the manager and he said "they are sick". Then he became truly insulting when he attempted to tell me, a 53 year restaurant executive, how a restaurant is run. We got up and walked out. We have been super understanding of staff shortages and supply chain issues all during this pandemic and I have worked with some of the best latino and hispanic employees but I would never permit someone without the basic understanding of customer accomodation to be in the front of the house by themselves.

We arrived at 5:08 on a Tuesday evening. There was only one other table in the restaurant. My wife asked how the shrimp dish was prepared and the waiter said "cooked", then when asked how they were cooked "broiled, baked, fried?", he replied "yes". He was not trying to be rude but I thought it might be a language barrier. Then she asked if she could substitute the yellow rice for either a salad, vegetable or potato and he said "No". I asked why you couldn't substitute fingerling potatoes, fries, a vegetable or salad all of which were listed on the menu and he said "Our manager does not let this happen". So we asked to see the manager and he said "they are sick". He then really tried to insult us by telling us how a restaurant is run, with me being in the restaurant business for 53 years. I have worked with the best servers, cooks, utility people but I would never put one in the front of the house that could not perform the most minimal of customer service requests. So we walked out costing them a $100 plus sale and a slew of negative reviews on any site I can find. We have been super tolerant of the staff shortages and supply chain issues all during this pandemic but I found this unaccommodating place the final straw.

Very nice restaurant with chill vibe. Staffs are nice and gentle. Good size for a big party. I recommend this place if you are in the area.

The chef used fried chicken thighs for the chicken ajillo order and no garlic sauce at all. Very sad dish I don't recommend it if you are looking for garlic chicken.

This was one of our favorite Spanish restaurants for over 20 years. Not any more. I’ve even deleted it from my contacts. Can’t even call it Spanish anymore. It’s simply terrible. The food is a cheap imitation of what it used to be; but horrible. Service is nonexistent. The host is clearly clueless. The bar is not attended. The tables and parking lot are empty. Keep driving. Better off going to Taco Bell where the food is much better.

I have been coming to Meson Madrid for many years and during my recent visit with my family, we all really enjoyed our time. The lobsters were delicious but the gambas with grilled bread was AMAZING. I am craving it again right now. The clams were also cooked to perfection and very clean. Also the potato chips they serve as an appetizer were very good; I couldn't stop munching on them although I was saving myself for the main meal. Our server was attentive and answered all of our questions well. We asked our steak to be cooked medium but it was well done, so maybe the chef was having a rough day or they're just better with seafood. The desserts were a bit too pricey for what they were so we passed.

If you're a true lobster lover, you've got to put this on your bucket list. It's the best. Others in my party who had the steak also thought the food was great. The service is excellent, staff is friendly, and Jason, our host and maitre'd was top notch in taking care of my family and just letting us enjoy and celebrate my son's graduation. Jason's training at the Culinary Institute of America definitely shined through with his attentiveness and professionalism. Go for the food but also enjoy warm family atmosphere.

Ah... man... this place is going super downhill... Absolutely disappointed with food AND service. Imagine, the bartender even tried flirting with my wife, which we both found to be hilarious, but at the same time super disrespectful. We weren't there just yesterday; it was a while back. However, we found that the experience wasn't great at all, and thus I'm leaving this review. Who knows... maybe if I hear the management changes I may stop by again. For now, this wasn't a nice experience. Before, Meson Madrid was the spot. Delicious authentic Spanish food. Not anymore. It's like they forgot what food they're supposed to make...
