Old Shanghai Soup Dumplings

Xiaolongbao and Kung pao chicken are simply delicious , this is our favorite spot for Chinese food . We often visit once a week cause my kids love it too . I told a few friends to come try them out and they all had the same great experience I did . 100% must try

We got take out and I had the veggie mushroom bao buns (a rare find, truly appreciated!) and veggie dumplings which were amazing. Scallion pancake was only so so. Other people in my group had shrimp fried rice and beef with veggies and said it was delicious.

Delicious food is even better with excellent friends.  Such a fun day at lunch with my friend and her husband at Old Shanghai Soup Dumplings in Palisades Park, NJ. Obviously their soup Dumplings are amazing, but each dish was better than the next. Their Sticky Rice Shumai may have been my favorite, but the Triple Delight, and Beef Chow Fun were amazing too. It's a cute and fun restaurant, and the service was excellent, and very attentive. Looking forward to our next visit to try the rest of their menu.

As a Hispanic customer, I have to say this place truly impressed me! The flavors are authentic, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The rice was fluffy and delicious, the broccoli and chicken were cooked just right, and everything tasted homemade with care. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere makes you feel welcome. It’s difficult to find a place like this where everything comes together so well. I’ve tried many spots, but this one stands out.

Without exaggeration this was the worst food experience I’ve ever had. My friend and I ordered a number of food items for pick up. Upon taking it back home to eat we both found SEVERAL pieces of hair in our food. The photos attached are only THREE pieces of hair that we actually took a photo of. Please believe me there were several more. Unfortunately, we already begun eating before seeing the hair because it was mixed into the sauce. Of course we went back to the restaurant to which the manager offered to exchange. There’s no way I would ever take food from this place again. There is a major health and safety issue at this restaurant. Absolutely disgusting.

Excellent Authentic food. Such a great variety. All the appetizers are homemade! The soup dumplings are so good the hubby likes them & he hates soup dumplings. The beef chow fun was delicious & the green beans are incredibly delicious! Can't wait to bring the kids.

This place has phenomenal xiaolongbao as always, but the sesame chicken was underwhelming. The sauce is excessively sweet, and the pieces were mostly batter with hardly any meat. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but I wish I had just ordered another platter of soup dumplings.

No frills kinda place. The steamed pork dumplings were amazing! I wasn’t a fan of the scallion pancakes here , they were way too overfriemd and extra greasy. I also had the shrimp lo mein, it was good but a tad bit on the greasy/ oily side . Overall I still liked the experience , I’ll definitely come back for dumplings and service was incredibly fast

The Pork Soup Dumplings are some of the best in the area, full of flavor. The honey ribs were beyond what we expected. Can't wait to go back again
