Food was good and the banchan variety was great as well. Everything was overall good, will come back for my fave soup. But will recommend on changing the prices on the menu cause I ordered 5 pieces of fried chicken and on the menu it said that it was for $11 but when we got the check, it said $15

Highly recommend having your entrees cooked by the kitchen rather than self grilling at the dining table.

The food is absolutely delicious however, Service is lacking.
The menu clearly states you can ask to cook your own food at the table. This isn’t our first rodeo, we go to hot pot and bbq all the time and never have an issue cooking and enjoying our meal.
However, the wait staff pesters you that you, “cant eat and enjoy your food,” and that’s direct quote.
I was upset. We tried explaining we’ve done this before without a problem. Then when they leave you to do it yourself, you have multiple people shooting daggers watching your food and then coming over cutting it for you and saying “it’s not done,” but we weren’t done cooking it..the only tables that were cooking their own meals without hassle were tables with oriental families.
Over all, food is delicious, wait staff and atmosphere is incredibly invasive because it’s also hard to continue a discussion when someone is constantly popping up at your table every (literally) 3-5 minutes…

If you’re looking for a authentic Korean restaurant in New Jersey, Keo Ku is a must-try. It’s a low-key spot, but once inside, you’ll be greeted by the aroma of authentic Korean BBQ. The menu is extensive, offering everything from fried chicken and tofu pots to BBQ platters. We tried the premium beef platter, featuring Wagyu beef that was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The portion was big enough for two, but honestly, it could feed three. The meal was accompanied by 8-9 fresh banchan (Korean side dishes), adding more variety to the experience.
One of the best parts of dining here is the interactive BBQ experience. Staff help cook the beef right at your table, so you can focus on eating. Service is friendly, but during peak hours, it can get a bit hectic. We noticed a few pieces of steak were slightly overcooked, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
If you’re craving Korean food, Keo Ku is a gem worth discovering. Their wide-ranging menu and flavorful BBQ make it a spot you’ll want to visit again — especially to try the items you missed the first time.

so happy Keo Ku is still here! The food has always been authentic and delicious.
I enjoy their tang soo yook here (although it wasnt available during our latest visit) and their bokkeum. The pork belly is so flavorful and not overly spicy.
There is lots of seating too and parking is convenient. Place is able to
accommodate both small and larger groups. Service is also timely and efficient. They’ve been here a long time and for
good reason! the food is really still good.

THIS RESTAURANT IS SUCH A RIP-OFF. I ORDER SOME TAKE OUT HERE AND UPON ARRIVAL I ASKED THE GUY TO MAKE SURE THE SCALLION SALAD WAS IN MY ORDER AS IT DOES COME WITH THE MEAL(SAMGYEOPSAL). HIS RESPONSE WAS YEAH YEAH ITS ALREADY IN THE BAG BUT WHEN I GOT HOME IT WAS MISSING. I CALLED BACK TO LET THEM KNOW AND ASKED THEM WHAT IF THEY COULD COMPENSATE ME WITH THE MISSING ITEM SINCE IT DID COST ME $34 FOR JUST A SMALL AMOUNT OF MEAT WITH SOME LETTUCE. HE SAID HE WOULD REFUND $15 FOR THE MISSING ITEM. ITS BEEN A COUPLE OF DAYS AND STILL HASNT SEEN ANY REFUND ON MY CARD. I HIGHLY DOUBT I WOULD EVER SEE THAT REFUND. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.

This place is way overpriced. We paid $264 for a few pieces of meat and soup. The food was ok but definitely not worth the price.

First and last time eating here - the woman working here is extremely rude to customers. I asked if I could get the bimimbap with chicken instead of beef and she said no problem, then when I get the bill I see they charged me $7 extra for the chicken. When I asked about this, she got loud with me repeating over and over that “every restaurant” would do this which is absolutely not true. She finally waived the extra charge and said she wouldn’t do it again and next time I’ll get the extra charge - which is no issue because I’m never coming back. Insanely rude and unappreciative of customers and they think nothing of completely changing the prices without warning you.

Restaurantji Recommends
Keo Ku has a warm, inviting atmosphere right from the moment you enter the door. The staff is attentive and friendly, particularly the owner, who will happily explain every item on the menu and make recommendations.
The banchan has a good variety and all is made well, but the star is the house made kimchi, which is some of the best I've ever had. The various grill items are pricy, but you can absolutely taste the quality of the ingredients and preparation, and the portions are generous.
All in all, I can't recommend this restaurant enough, and I find myself coming back here over and over. I have never left disappointed.

We enjoyed the fried shrimp dumplings, chicken wings, and bibimbap with kimchi—all delicious! They also offered a great variety of banchan, and I loved their kimchi. However, the service was disappointing. They require mandatory tips, which doesn’t sit well with me. We tip for good service, and if that’s lacking, it feels unjustified. If the tip is for the chef, I’m happy to contribute, as the food was fantastic. Unfortunately, our waitress seemed unwelcoming and disinterested in our order, which was frustrating. I would have given 3 stars because of the service but the food and barchan were great so gave 4 rating.

Since 1993, Keo Ku BBQ has been a neighborhood Korean BBQ restaurant serving over three decades in Parsippany, NJ. As you walk inside this hidden gem, you will find a beautiful fish pond and classic Korean BBQ tables in this venue. Sit down and order Korean pancakes that is crunchy outside and chewy inside. Add on a couple starters and a stew to complement your barbecue and enjoy their homemade side dishes and veggies. We ran out of peppers and their attentive staffs ran to the garden and freshly picked out some. Fresh home grown garden veggies! Meets are fresh, juicy, and super flavorful. Prices are more than reasonable and you are guaranteed to leave full and satisfied. Here deep in Jersey, you can still have an authentic and delicious Korean meal that will make your trip worthwhile.
