Absolutely one of the best Persian restaurants we’ve been to!
We ordered the Gheymeh Bademjan and Tahdig with Ghormeh Sabzi, and both were beyond delicious — truly the best we’ve had in a long time. We’re based in Brooklyn, but the food, warm atmosphere, and exceptional service made the trip more than worth it.
The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. You can tell they really care about both the food and the customer experience.
We’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend to anyone craving authentic Persian cuisine!

Persian food at its best! Melt in your mouth kababs. We tried the eggplant appetizer and it was really yummy as well.
Special shoutout to the sweetest lady who runs the front of house. She was warm, attentive and very hospitable.

I have been to many Persian restaurants and thought that nothing could surprise me, but here the kebab is just fantastic. The eggplant appetizers were also fantastic, I definitely recommend trying both, one with mint and the other with a smoked flavor. The bread was crispy, fresh, very tasty. This is not a restaurant, but just a gem. Clean, with beautiful paintings on the walls. There is a very large private parking lot. I definitely recommend visiting.

Take out was good when called in before. Seems very busy often. Food was great.

PAID $100. Kababs were just ordinary both is taste and quantity. Ice cream was melted and frozen again. Baklawa tasted like it was from Restaurant depot. Overall extremely expensive with just below ordinary taste.

Best Persian in the area, I am regular for the Kobideh Kebob. WOW, taste and quality is consistently great! Never disappointed. All the best, and keep grilling.

One of the best spots for Persian food in the county. Hummus was amazing. It’s paired with a thin and fluffy bread to dip. The falafel was very fragrant and crispy. Their cherry rice is a must. I was hesitant but my friend said we had to get it. Of the kabobs that we had I really enjoyed the koobideh. It was so flavorful. The chicken and the beef are good but the koobideh was on another level. To finish we had their homemade ice cream and their Persian roller. The ice cream was so good. It was not what I was expecting. The roller was fluffy and delicious. The tea was great. Not too strong and very aromatic. I will definitely be coming back for more. They can get busy at times. Definitely call ahead for availability.

We ordered tahdig with ghormeh sabzi topping, and while the ghormeh sabzi was flavorful, the tahdig had no saffron. I called the restaurant, and they informed me that they don’t offer saffron tahdig. However, their online menu explicitly lists saffron tahdig, which feels misleading.

For dessert, we ordered a Persian roll ( almost 10$), expecting the authentic flavor of rosewater. Instead, we received a generic, stale, and flavorless Swiss roll—something you could find at Walmart for $2, and likely of better quality. It was a complete disappointment and a waste of money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

We ordered beef and lamb gyro, kebiddeh and rice pilaf. Everything was delicious. They packed butter separately which is good if you want to avoid it. Rice was amazing. Thanks for the delicious food

Hands down the best persian food in NY/NJ. The barg and koobideh are truly awesome. Too bad they don’t have any place in north jersey. I drive 45 minutes every time but it’s worth it.

Rayhoon is hands down the best Persian restaurant in northern NJ. I've been a loyal customer for over two years, and in that time, I've experienced it all—dine-in, takeout, and catering for multiple events. Every single time, the food is nothing short of exceptional. The flavors are authentic, the ingredients are fresh, and the quality is consistently top-notch. I’m genuinely baffled by the negative reviews. As someone who takes great pride in seeking out high-quality cuisine, I can confidently say that Rayhoon checks all the boxes. The restaurant itself is small, charming, and impeccably clean, with customer service that’s second to none.

To anyone reading this, don’t let a few bad reviews keep you from trying Rayhoon. You’ll not only enjoy an incredible meal but will likely become a repeat customer. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

I would strongly suggest to stay away from the place. The portions are tiny, the meat was chewy and not tasty at all. Shirazi salad was sour and had a strange aftertaste. Complete disappointment and definitely not coming back again
