I love their food. It is such an interesting experience to go to. When I first went, I did not know we had to cook our own food. It really was amazing to have a variety of food, sauces, and they have an ice cream bar too. It’s a must and an experience you won’t forget.
Ate here twice. Foods pretty decent for what it’s worth but they charge WAY too much for what it’s worth & the staff are extremely unhelpful, patronizing, & rude.
Food was average and saw a cockroach scurrying on the table while eating and that ruined my appetite!! Restaurant definitely needs a major clean-up and inspection. Service was relatively quick. Place used to be great but has since went downhill.
Food was ok. Service was bad. Atmosphere was bad. It was 84 degrees outside and it was hotter in the restaurant than outside.
Food was good not the best but definitely good. However the customer service was very bad. Also they force you to tip them the amount they think they deserve
This hot pot spot is top notch. They get everything right and the service is good. If you don't leave completely fulfilled, I'd be shocked.
Very Uncomfortable and Disrespectful Experience
Extremely disappointed with our experience at V-Yan Hot Pot & BBQ.
We came with family, including our 3-year-old daughter, who wasn’t eating hot pot — just had a few noodles from my plate. Staff kept coming by to watch her like we were doing something wrong, and eventually said they would charge her for a full meal.
It made our entire table uncomfortable and ruined what was supposed to be a nice family dinner.
They also automatically added an 18% tip without asking.
Treating families like this over a toddler sharing a few bites is completely unacceptable. We will not be coming back.
Charged for 5 people and still added 18% tips
Horrible Treatment Toward Families — Very Disappointed
We brought our 3-year-old niece to V-Yan Hot Pot & BBQ for a family dinner, and it was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had.
Our little one wasn’t eating hot pot — just grabbed a few noodles from her mom’s plate — yet the staff kept staring at her, made us feel uncomfortable, and then demanded we pay for a full meal for her too.
Completely ridiculous and disrespectful.
Something had me feeling a bit uncomfortable, not sure if it was the meats or the sauces. Went home and threw up, stomach felt sour, pressure, just felt icky after eating all the way till the next day. Im not sure if id give it another chance. I do love kbbq though.
We traveled from far away, but they don’t allow reservations, and the waiting time was 30 minutes.
Restaurantji Recommends
Food is always excellent and great prices as well but depending on when you go, there can be a long wait and do not expect the staff to be informative with regards to the menu and educating you on how it all works. Service is really fast though.
When we order, the foods take so long to come to our table. The waiting time is also way too long. I wish it can be faster.
It’s a nice place with good food. The servers were not so friendly, but it was busy, so I can understand. The Kimchi and Bulgogi didn’t disappoint! I will return in the future.
Good for the price, recommend marinated beef
I was told kids under 3 is free but when I sat down I order a spicy pot for myself and an original for my son. They didn’t notify me that ordering a pot for my son is extra charge. They should’ve explain to me when I order for my son. For 30 bucks I would rather go to K-POT. They don’t charge for kids and have side dishes on bar too! I really don’t recommend this place.
